‘TAKE 5’ DREAM NEWSLETTER #6: 3/14/17-THE ‘QUEST FOR THE TRUTH OF MY INSANITY’ TAKES ME TO THE CAPITAL BUILDING IN CARSON CITY, NV. PASSION WILL BE EXPLORED. THE SAGA OF BASIC HS BASEBALL PROGRAM CONTINUES. IF THESE TOPICS INTEREST YOU, PLEASE KEEP READING. IF NOT, THANK YOU.
(Editors note-This is the enhanced version of our Nick Feher ‘TAKE 5’ Foundation Facebook page post 3/14/17)

During the time that has passed since my last ‘Dream Newsletter’ #5, spending moments in my ‘Fishbowl’ here in Henderson, NV, has provided me ‘Blessings and Revelations’. The word ‘PASSION’ took center stage as my readings of Aristotle continued.
Aristotle claims that when one practices ‘virtues’ all the time, this practice creates ‘PASSIONS’ for the Game of LIFE. These ‘PASSIONS’ then assists in our ‘Happiness’. Everyone including Aristotle has his or her own definition of ‘Happiness’.
This post is about 10,400 words. Slowly chew and swallow in one setting, or choose multiple settings.
What is PASSION? Wikipedia writes:
“PASSION (from the Greek verb πασχω meaning to suffer) is a very strong feeling about a person or thing. Passion is an intense emotion, a compelling enthusiasm or desire for something.
Passion may be a friendly or eager interest in or admiration for a proposal, cause, discovery, or activity or love – to a feeling of unusual excitement, enthusiasm or compelling emotion, a positive affinity or love, towards a subject.

Denis Diderot describes passions as “penchants, inclinations, desires and aversions carried to a certain degree of intensity, combined with an indistinct sensation of pleasure or pain, occasioned or accompanied by some irregular movement of the blood and animal spirits, are what we call passions”.
The word PASSION kept echoing in my ears as I floated in my ‘Fishbowl’. While watching the Duke @ Syracuse basketball game recently on TV, Dick Vitale expressed my thoughts. It was halfway during the second half. Over 30,000 fans were in attendance. With the volume turned up on my TV, I was sitting court-side with Dickie V.

The squeaking of the shoes, the rhythmic bouncing of the ball, the rattling of the rims, the whistles, horns and band, plus the PASSION of the players, coaches, and fans created a ‘Symphony of Passion’. The bedlam of the crowd had reached a new crescendo when Dickie V shouted loudly in his mic, “I am 77 years old and I am addicted to this.”
I shouted back to Dickie V, though he could not hear me because of the crowd noise, “I too am addicted to this”. As the game played on, ‘Revelations’ became apparent. I was addicted to the ‘PASSION’ that was being created by the ‘PASSIONS’ of others. To share in their ‘PASSIONS’ contributed to my happiness.
My College Football Pilgrimage provided this same experience. College athletes and fans create a ‘PASSION’ that rivals others in the field of Sports and Arts. Unlike pro athletes who are paid to perform, college athletes play with a ‘PASSION’ to compete and win. Regardless of records, point spreads, and other factors, college athletes play with an intense emotion, a compelling enthusiasm or desire to win the game. If not, in my ‘Fishbowl’, the game is changed.
You can read my views on my website ‘Pro Football Players or PPA’s’ (Pre-Paid Athletes) part one & two in the PPA section on the Homepage.
My ‘Revelation’ started to connect the dots. It was through Observing and Analyzing the ‘PASSIONS’ of others that stirred my ‘PASSIONS’ and created a KNOWING. It was the ‘PASSIONS’ of others that fueled my ‘Happiness’. Case in point, look no further than the last two videos that were posted on my page under ‘TAKE 5’ Dream Newsletter #5.
One is The Noble Men of Kyle Field. You do not have to be a fan of Marching Bands to partake in their ‘PASSIONS’. I was privileged to see them perform live. However, the video does a remarkable rendition to capture the ‘PASSIONS’ of The Noble Men and the crowd.
The second one is the video of the ‘Cat-tet’ led by their Alpha Female Cat, the ‘Fabled Cello of the American West’. They also perform with a ‘PASSION’ as they play ‘A Thousand Years’ by Christina Perri. Even if you are not a fan of ‘olde world’ string instruments, you cannot deny the ‘PASSION’ that the ‘Cat-tet’ plays with. Especially, since there is no pay involved.
There are Four String Players gathered in the den of the ‘Fabled Cello of the American West’. It appears to be a casual event. Though the picture is slightly fuzzy, one can witness the ‘PASSION’ that the ‘Cat-tet’ performs with. They play at their ‘Very Best’ level, resulting in a sound that is purr-fect.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RWdUSTDfoXg&rel=0
If you have not done so, please visit both videos and experience the ‘PASSIONS’ of others. Watch others perform at their self-imposed standards of wanting to do their ‘VERY BEST’.
My visits with the ‘Cat-tet’ were daily. I had to be extremely careful when leaving my ‘Fishbowl’ so as not to be devoured by the ‘Alpha Female Cat’ and/or her clowder. Though, I recognized the song, the words were misplaced in my brain. I then downloaded the Christina Perri-‘A Thousand Years’ [Official Music Video] from You Tube.
The ‘PASSION’ of the video still elicits daily comments on the You Tube page. The words mixed with the Strings of the Olde World Instruments created a ‘Blessing’ for me. For those of you unfamiliar with the song, it is an extremely, beautiful woven tale centered around the phrase, “I will love you for a thousand years”.
What if I thought, as ‘What if’ circulated in my thoughts. What If a ‘PASSION’ was so POWERFUL, one could love it for a thousand years or more. The ‘UNKNOWN’ awaits us on the other side of our current life on earth. As of now, death signals that our ‘TIME’ is up on this planet. The Game of LIFE will cease, as we KNOW it.
I have always heard people say, ‘You can’t take it with you’. In my brain, I always asked, How do you KNOW? What if, you can. What if, you can take it with you. What if, you can PLAYIN YOUR DREAMS again on the other side by taking your ‘PASSIONS’ with you as you cross over.

These ‘PASSIONS’ will be stored in your soul, and is it not the soul that crosses over to the other side? All of your physical things will be left behind for others. It will be your ‘PASSIONS’ and other virtues that you will carry for a thousand years or more.
TODAY MARCH 14, IS NICK’S BIRTHDAY
THE REST OF THIS POST IS IN HONOR OF NICK AND HIS PASSIONS
For those of you who did not know Nick, he was a Son, Brother and a Friend. Many memories and tales could be told about Nick’s ‘PASSIONS’. As his father, please let me share a few.

* Nick at age four while vacationing at his Grandfather’s house in Little Valley, New York, was so PASSIONATE; he learned to ride a two-wheel bike with no training wheels. Though others offered to help, he preferred flying solo. Many crashes and falls occurred along with scrapes, cuts and bruises. He spent many hours without a whimper, until he mastered the craft.
* Nick at age 8 while playing soccer for the Outlaws in the Henderson Youth Soccer League, played sick. Prior to the game, on a very hot October, Saturday afternoon at the fields near Sam Boyd Stadium, Nick mentioned he was not feeling well. Sticking with the family motto, ‘Play your very best’, if you can’t, then take yourself out of the game, Nick played.
Play he did, the entire game with no breaks leading his team to victory. Back at home, his body paid the price. His sickness included a fever and a bout with the ‘upchucks’. Within a day, his body returned to Homeostasis. I marveled at how one could play with such ‘PASSION’ while being so sick.

* Nick at age 11 while playing center-field at Morrell Park for Coach David Soto and the Expos, made a catch with the game on the line that was described by another fan, ‘It is worthy to be replayed as a web gem on Sports Center’. Coach David Soto’s description of it at the time, ranked ‘Nick’s Catch’ among the top 3 he had ever witnessed live.
* Nick at age 13 breaks his right wrist and arm playing basketball in January. In mid- April, he has the Doctor’s permission to resume playing baseball with restrictions. He could not throw overhand, but could lightly toss the baseball underhand. He could not swing the bat.
Following Doctor’s order, Nick continued his therapy and was the lead-off hitter and the starting right fielder for his team. Bunting was his only option and opposing teams knew it but had a tough time keeping Nick of the base with his speed and savvy base running ability.

Playing half the season with restrictions, Nick played the second half without caution and almost with no restrictions. He earned a starting spot on the Henderson Little League Junior All-Star team.
* Nick at age 14 tears his ligaments in his right ankle while playing for the Timet Silver Team American Legion Baseball team. With the start of the Little League State Junior All-Star Tournament one week away, Nick makes a deal with Doctor.

The Doctor agreed to cast Nick’s leg for 6 days. He could continue modified throwing and hitting during that time. With a brace for his ankle, Nick was given the option to play on the All-Star Team. He produced a gallant effort leading by example, but his team was eliminated early. The next day, Nick went back to the Doctor’s office and had his leg re-caste for 4 more weeks. (Photo taken after winning Nevada District 2 LL Title. Nick was the starting, winning pitcher.)
* Highlights of Nick’s Junior Year while playing baseball at Basic HS include: Nick played every position, except SS and catcher. While batting lead-off, his on base percentage was .425. He led the team in runs.

AS A PITCHER, HE HAD THE 4TH BEST ERA IN THE ENTIRE LAS VEGAS VALLEY. NUMBERS 1, 2, AND 3 CURRENTLY HOLD THE 1ST, 2ND, AND 4TH SPOTS IN THE STATE RECORD BOOK FOR THE LOWEST ERA FOR ONE SEASON.
* Twice in Nick’s high school career, I witnessed Nick as the starting winning pitcher, against Las Vegas HS, in the play-offs as a #4 seed Basic team against a #1 Las Vegas seed. In his junior year, it was during an elimination game. As the only Senior on the team his Senior Season, it was in the opening game of the playoffs.
My friend, Head Baseball Coach Sam Thomas of Las Vegas HS confessed to me when he said, ‘I am so happy, that my team will not have to face your f—ing son anymore’.
* During his final Swan Song towards the tail end of his now recently graduated American Legion Gold Season, Nick created two ‘special moments’.
- While playing Center Field, he made a full speed running, stretched out, over the shoulder, diving catch alla ‘Willie Mays’. It was reminiscent of the ‘Catch’ Willie made during the 1954 World Series, but with a higher degree of difficulty. I overheard the Home Plate umpire tell others that it was the ‘Greatest Catch’ that he had witnessed, in his 20 plus years of umpiring.
2. In a home game against Coronado towards the end of his season, he finished it with style. With two outs, Nick was the batter with two runners on base and Timet is trailing by two runs in the bottom of the seventh. In a blink, Nick does the following; He hits a double and drives in the tying runs. With the infield sleeping, he takes third as the pitcher dosed off. On cue, with the very next pitch, Nick stole home sealing the victory.
Skip Blanchard one off Nick’s Fall Baseball League Coaches saw me after the game. His comments he shared with me were something like, ‘Whatever sport Nick would have chosen to play, he would have been great at it’.

As I reflect on those words, it was not because Nick had the greatest talents to play the games; Nick possessed the ‘Greatest Passion’ in wanting to win the games. Every coach that coached Nick all echoed the same theme about Nick. They all said that he was the hardest working player that they had ever coach. Nick played with ‘PASSION’.
HOWEVER, HIS PASSION SOMETIMES COLLIDED WITH HIS TEEN MALE HORMONES PRODUCING UNDESIRABLE RESULTS.

* Nick’s PASSION for standing up for his friends and others resulted in altercations during and after school. There were the occasional trips to school with Nick in tow for counseling and disciplinary actions. Photo shows results when standing up for friends.
* Nick’s PASSION once had him removed from a Fall Baseball League game by me. His behavior was totally unacceptable towards not only himself, but also his team, his coaches, his foes, and all others in attendance. He later apologized.
* Nick’s PASSION resulted in him being the only Little League player I had ever seen get tossed out of a game by an umpire. He was 14 at the time. After being called out on a disputed call at home plate, Nick’s PASSION lost out for questionable behavior.
* Nick’s PASSION resulted in a few technical fouls being assessed to him, when he played High School basketball. As his parent, some of his games produced a higher level of intensity, igniting his inflamed PASSION.

* Nick’s PASSION also contributed to his early exit from the Game of LIFE. It was the combination of his PASSION, his ‘Competitive Spirit’, and the PASSION he had for his car, which resulted in the Nick Feher ‘TAKE 5’ Foundation
IN THE HEAT OF THE MOMENT, NICK DID NOT REMEMBER TO ‘TAKE 5’ AS HIM AND I DISCUSSED WEEKS EARLIER. WHEN IN DOUBT, ALWAYS REMEMBER TO ‘TAKE 5’. ASK YOURSELF TWO QUESTIONS.
1. WHAT’S IN IT FOR ME?
2. WHAT CONSEQUENCES CAN THERE BE?
With almost ten years behind me since the ‘Grim Reaper’ knocked on my door followed by ‘Devastation’ entering my LIFE, a new light shines on the physical passing of Nick. Nick left the planet on his terms, playing with the PASSIONS of his life. Hopefully, he stored as many in his soul as he shared with others.
On his Gravestone is marked;
“Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the Moments that take our breath away.”
These Moments are our PASSIONS, which are also our LOVES. 1 Corinthians 13:1-7 speaks:
“If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres”.

Dear Representative
State of NV

I know that you are extremely busy conducting state business that will affect those of us living in the State of Nevada. If you are reading this, I thank you for sharing your valuable time. My name is George N. Feher. I have been a resident/taxpayer of our ‘Great State’ since 1975. My homestead has been in the City of Henderson since 1979 when the population was about 18,000 residents.
As a taxpayer, my ‘Quest for the Truth of my Insanity’ for the past two years has now taken me to the halls of our State Capital Building in Carson City, Nevada. I have conducted a one-man campaign searching for the ‘Truth’ for the following question with very little response. If you can find the time, could you please respond to this question and other questions?

* If a NJCAA college CSN, operating down the street from Basic HS/Academy, which is also a Nevada state funded school, discovered an unethical and immoral practice within their baseball program, which resulted in severe penalties on the college and the entire baseball staff was ‘terminated’/”fired with cause’’, for conducting such practices, why is the CCSD, including current Trustee Wright supporting and sanctioning these same unethical, immoral, discriminatory, illegal practices on the campus of Basic HS/Academy at the expense of taxpayers of Henderson, NV for a club baseball team head coach to earn over $100,000 a year or more than $500,000 in five years?
My estimates of earnings are based on facts that have been uncovered during my Quest. Recently, a parent who has closely observed this year’s operations said these estimates now range to upwards of $150,000+. As I continue, please permit me to share with you my brief background and how these practices were uncovered.
I am an Educator with 33 plus years of employment with the CCSD. My time in Henderson has permitted me to engage with other residents in our community. Though I did not teach at Basic HS during my career, I was invited by previous staffs to share my experience of coaching their young men. Duties included coaching Football, Basketball, and Summer Baseball.
After having a family of three children, forces guided me to withdraw from coaching in the CCSD and to share my expertise with the youth of Henderson in recreational and club sports. These sports included; City of Henderson Youth Basketball, Henderson Little League, Henderson Girls Softball Association, Henderson United Youth Soccer, American Legion Baseball, City of Henderson Fall Baseball League, plus various club softball and baseball organizations.
My duties as the Executive Officer of The Nick Feher ‘TAKE 5’ Foundation led me to uncover these questionable practices of the baseball program at Basic HS/Academy. This Foundation was established by the financial support of others in and out of the community of Henderson, NV after the untimely physical passing our Son, Brother, and Friend Nick Feher in November of 2007.

The focus of the Foundation was to support high school and Little League baseball in our community, for baseball was one of Nick’s Passions. For the past two years, answers to my previous question(s) have fallen short of their mark. Please permit me to share with you my writings that were sent to all of the media outlets in Southern NV.

NEWS RELEASE
DISCRIMINATION, UNETHICAL & IMMORAL PRACTICES CONTINUE AT BASIC HS/ACADEMY WITHIN THE BASEBALL PROGRAM. THE FOLLOWING IS ABOUT 4,300 WORDS.
According to the definition of Discrimination, Discrimination is occurring at the Basic HS/ Academy at the expense of the Henderson Taxpayer. The reason that this Discrimination has not been brought to the views of the public, is because of the Discrimination Policy of the CCSD. The following is from the CCSD website.
“CCSD is an equal opportunity employer. Employees who feel discriminated against should contact their immediate supervisor. Students, parents, and other program participants who feel discriminated against may initiate a complaint by contacting the principal of the school in question. The building principal will work with the designated employee and respond to the inquiry within a reasonable period of time.
CCSD is committed to nondiscrimination in its programs, activities and services, and to providing facility accessibility. Parents, students, staff, or other members of the public, who are seeking information or have questions about the existence and location of accessible services, activities, and facilities in the district, should contact the building principal with their inquiry.

The building principal may, if necessary, refer the person to one or more of the following individuals, who will respond to the inquiry within a reasonable period of time.”
THE CCSD IS A RIGGED SYSTEM. IF ONE WAS TO FILE A DISCRIMINATION COMPLAINT AT BASIC HS/ACADEMY, IT MUST BE REPORTED FIRST TO THE PRINCIPAL. HE IS THE SAME PRINCIPAL THAT SANCTIONS THE ‘DISCRIMINATORY PRACTICES’ OF THE ‘CLUB SPORT FOR PROFIT’ THE SOUTHERN NV BLUE SOX ON HIS CAMPUS. THE RESULTS WOULD BE ‘THE COMPLAINT STOPS HERE’.
Even though, the Las Vegas media, deemed this situation as not news worthy, I have continued my one-man campaign to expose these Unethical, Immoral, and Discriminatory practices on the campus of Basic HS/Academy at the expense of the Taxpayers in Henderson, NV.
My campaign, which is based on ‘true facts’ can be found on two sources. One is the Facebook page of the Nick Feher ‘TAKE 5’ Foundation. Two is my website @playinyourdreams.com. The title is ‘TAKE 5’ Dream Newsletter #2 & #3. Perhaps if time permits, you or one of your staff members can read my extensive coverage of this issue. This new information might provide you the insight to reconsider a more thorough examination of this issue.
My investigative powers are limited as a private citizen. This is what I Know.

* Five different forms of Discrimination are taking place on the campus of Basic HS/Academy.
1. Not all players forced to pay a monthly stipend to play baseball at Basic HS/Academy earn a college baseball scholarship. This propaganda is used to justify the operations of the Southern NV Blue Sox and Scott Baker.
2. There is a known group of players/families because of financial situations, cannot afford to pay the $5,000+ a year to play baseball at Basic HS/Academy. With ‘TAKE 5” as a supporter of the local Boys/Girls Club in Henderson, it is also a known fact that many of the Club members and families cannot afford this fee/penalty to play baseball at the Basic HS/Academy.

Because of their current financial situation, these players/families are being ‘Discriminated’ against from playing baseball at Basic HS/Academy. Since the CCSD sanctions these ‘Discriminatory Practices’, the players/families have no legal recourse in the matter. They choose to remain ‘Silent’, for fear of retribution resulting in others stompin on the Dreams of their sons and families.
3. Not all Coaches at Basic HS/Academy are treated the same. Currently only Baseball has been designated by the principal to be a ‘club sport for profit’. All other coaches and sports program have to operate under different CCSD guidelines. These separate practices are ‘Discriminatory’ because they prevent the other coaches of reaping the same potential financial rewards as the head baseball coach.
4. The head baseball coach for the ‘club sport for profit’ at Basic HS/Academy has his yearly salary estimated to be $100,000+ annually. His ‘magical bookkeeping’ would prove otherwise. A starting teacher at Basic HS/Academy CCSD is scheduled to earn $40,900 a school year. The top tier teacher in the CCSD can earn $90,877 a school year.
Let me explain the vast differences between the head baseball coach and an Educator at Basic HS/Academy.

* All Educators have paid for and earned a College Education Degree. Some have also paid for and earned advanced Degrees. The head baseball coach does not have a College Degree in any field.
* The Educator will have average 33.5 students a class. For six classes, the Educator will be responsible for 201 total students. The head baseball coach is responsible for only 33 players a few hours after school each day.
* The Educator is a licensed employee of the CCSD. The head baseball coach is neither a licensed nor a classified employee of the CCSD. His job title with the CCSD is head baseball coach at Basic HS/Academy.
* The Educator earns their salary while being employed by the CCSD. The head baseball coach earns the bulk of his salary through his organization, ‘club sport for profit’ while receiving a ‘sweetheart deal’ with the CCSD to taxpayers facilities at Basic HS/Academy.

When you compare the Educational requirements, licensing, workload, and hours on the job, etc., between the head baseball coach and the Educators at Basic HS/Academy, it is quite obvious that ‘Discriminatory Practices’ are in effect.
5. This ‘club sport for profit’ is now in the sixth year of its operation at Basic HS/Academy. In the first five years of operation, it is estimated that total income earned for this ‘club sport for profit’ exceeded $500,000 or a half of a million dollars. When you factor in the under 12 team also using the facilities at Basic HS/Academy, total income for the 2016-17 year is projected to exceed $125,000.
With the financial success of this operation, the principal and the head baseball coach refuse to share this blueprint with all other staff members of the Basic HS/Academy. Not once in five years has there been a meeting with all staff members disclosing the ‘Blueprints’ of this operation.
This lack of disclosure can be considered ‘Discriminatory Practices’. All staff members at Basic HS/Academy should be provided the same opportunity to set up their own individual after school ‘club sport/activity for profit’ on their campus. They should also be granted the same ‘Taxpayer Benefits –Sweetheart Deal’ that are being provided to the ‘club sport for profit’.

If a survey was taken at Basic HS/Academy, very few, if any staff members, would be able to quote the CCSD regulations and procedures that the ‘club sport for profit’ is operating under, let alone if they are being enforced by the CCSD.
A CLOSER LOOK AT THE ‘SWEETHEART DEAL’ INCLUDES:
* The ‘club sport for profit’ pays fees less than $10 a day for the use of the entire Basic HS/Academy. This includes access and usage of baseball field, clubhouse, batting cages, two bullpens with artificial grass, all equipment to maintain field, plus all other outdoor facilities including the football field and track.
* Indoor facilities include; classrooms, lecture hall, cafeteria, gymnasiums, fitness/weight rooms and everywhere else a master key has access.

* With the fees less than $10 a day, all indoor utilities will be included at no additional costs. Taxpayers will pay the following in support of the ‘club sport for profit’; utility costs for all indoor facilities used, including lighting, cooling, heating, plumbing, water, etc., plus maintenance fees.
* For less than $10 a day, the ‘club sport for profit’ will also receive at taxpayers’ expense the following; free utilities for the baseball facilities. These include as much water needed to irrigate the field plus electricity to power the clubhouse to run the AC, lights, satellite equipment and TV. As a bonus, taxpayers will also pay to light up the field at night and power the Snack Shack.
* The CCSD at Taxpayers’ expense also preps and maintains the baseball field for the ‘club sport for profit’ for less than $10 a day. Services include; fertilizing the field, aeration of the field, infield care as requested, mowing the outfield grass and other maintenance to the baseball complex including irrigation and plumbing to clubhouse.
Facebook users have left the following comments to substantiate some of my claims. Other community members have privately confided in me with similar stories.

Barry M. Mastrodomenico writes: “With all due respect George…why piddle around and beat YOUR head against the stone wall expecting something other than blood from your forehead?
You know I’m behind you on this, but being that Cody was victimized the first year of all of the “pay to play” and we simply couldn’t afford the stupidity, he went on to play golf and receive a golf scholarship for his efforts. He was also CRUSHED by NOT being able to continue playing in a sport he was gifted at.
My point is: why piss around for so long with the local entities and keep getting nowhere? This is over three years old now!!! This should go to District and State Legislative Representatives by now! These people are State employees!! Enough is enough!! Stop dicking around and if anyone is truly serious about exposing and change…take the State employee issue to the State. Overall…Sandoval has the final say where my taxes go and where these people’s pay checks and pensions go!
We sat on the Board together, I respect you, but enough is enough!! If it’s change you truly want affect…..TAKE IT TO THE TOP!!! What a great way to earn everyone’s respect!! And I don’t mean chairpersons. I MEAN THE TOP!! Love ya buddy!
Chris…as you could see, Cody was the first group!! Along with too many of the best players Henderson had to offer. Parents cried, players couldn’t play!!! Ridiculous!!”

Chris Val Ruiz writes: “Thank you so much for this post my child attends basic high school he has played baseball for many years but did not try out for basics team last year due to the cost my son bless his heart knows we live on a very fixed income it broke my heart to know that he didn’t try out in order to not put a financial burden on our family this trend of high school coaches charging outrageous fees needs to stop basic high school is missing out on great athletes due to greed shame on them.”
Carla Blake writes: “Check this out George: https://www.leg.state.nv.us/reg…/2015Register/R060-15I.pdf
You might be able to become a whistle blower: mismanagement of funds, lining his own DEEP POCKETS, of a public school, discriminating those who can NOT afford his OUTRAGEOUS ASININE FEES, by turning them away, even though they have the talent!!! Get ahold of the parties mentioned in these NRS/NAC CODES who answer to the State Legislators!!! Take this to the media as well, the tv stations/ expose them!!!
This is a form of BULLYING, by the coach, which is also, ILLEGAL!!! Forget the Clark County School Board, as they obviously are covering for this man!!! Like Barry said, bypass and go to the top!!! FILE A WRONGFUL CLASS-ACTION LAWSUIT, for DISCRIMINATING those young men, he turned away because of financial reasons!!!
MAKE A STATEMENT, MAKE SOME NOISE, RUFFLE SOME FEATHERS, cuz GUARANTEED, YOU WILL GET PUBLICITY!!! Go to attorney BOB MASSEY, he LOVES to RAISE THE ROOF, and your VOICE WILL BE HEARD WITH BOB!!! He will go straight to Brian Sandoval!!”
On Saturday night 10/29/16 the following comments were left on my Facebook message page. You will see, the person wishes to remain silent.

“He’s a thief and a little bitch. My kid plays for him. I can up root him and send him under. This stays within this message. LINE THE POCKET(S)? Beyond that man. I’m to the point of a throat punch. Now do you care to answer?”
Families that choose for their son to play baseball at Basic HS/Academy must pay a penalty of over $20,000 for 4 years. If your son and your family had to incur this stipend to play a sport at a CCSD taxpayer funded school, how would you react?
According to the district, the following are the two CCSD regulations that the head baseball coach at Basic HS/Academy is operating under.
- Procedure for District Facility Use Request (CCF-410)
- Clark County School District Facility Usage In-Kind Service Agreement
To receive ‘special treatment’ from the CCSD, an organization must present a copy of their non-profit, tax-exempt status among other pertinent documents. The head coach in May of 2014, at a baseball banquet, where I served as a MC and ‘Guest Speaker’, publicly thanked certain individuals in the audience for assisting him with the paperwork to finally attain his non-profit, tax-exempt status for his Southern NV Blue Sox organization.
If what he said was true, then under what ‘status’ was he operating with the CCSD prior to that, between September 2011 and May 2014?

IF WHAT I WROTE IS TRUE, THEN UNDER WHAT SET OF CCSD REGULATIONS WAS THE SOUTHERN NV BLUE SOX AS A FOR PROFIT BUSINESS OPERATING UNDER BETWEEN SEPTEMBER 2011 AND MAY 2014?
The head coach publicly said he was a profit organization with tax liabilities prior to May 2014. A proper review of these files can then determine if this ‘club sport for profit’ has been operating legally under the regulations of the CCSD from 2011-2016.
These documents can be secured by contacting Cindy Smith-Johnson at the CCSD, phone number 702-799-5865.

The following websites prove that Scott Baker and the Southern NV Blue Sox have been operating on the campus of Basic HS/Academy without the proper verification as a Nevada Domestic Non-Profit Corporation for the last two years. The Nevada Secretary of State Barbara K. Cegavske has revoked his Domestic Non-Profit Corporation status.
www.corporationwiki.com/p/2bvy65/southern-nevada-blue-sox-inc reports the following: “Southern Nevada Blue Sox Inc. filed as a Domestic Non-Profit Corporation in the State of Nevada and is no longer active. This corporate entity was filed approximately four years ago on Friday, December 21, 2012 as recorded in documents filed with Nevada Secretary of State.” The State ID# is E0657152012-8. Status is inactive and Date Expired, Thursday, January 1, 2015.
http://www.datalog.co.uk/browse/detail.php/CompanyNumber/USNV20121763106/CompanyName/SOUTHERN+NEVADA+BLUE+SOX+INC. reports: SOUTHERN NEVADA BLUE SOX INC. was founded on 2012-12-21 and has its registered office in Henderson. The following are excerpts taken from two different stories that were printed in the Las Vegas Review Journal dated October 30, 2010 & December 14, 2010. Reporter David Schoen at dschoen@reviewjournal.com or 702-383-0294 is the writer.

The story is relevant to the perceived ‘Discriminatory Practices’, the ‘unethical’ and immoral operation of the Southern NV Blue Sox on the campus of Basic HS/Academy at the expense of the taxpayers in Henderson, NV. The current head baseball coach at Basic HS/Academy is a central figure in these events both in the past and in the present.
“CSN BASEBALL COACH UNDER SCRUTINY”, 10/30/10
“First-year College of Southern Nevada baseball coach Chris Sheff is the subject of an in-house investigation regarding allegations that include whether players were inappropriately charged for a mandatory conditioning program.
“CSN administrators are aware of these allegations and are investigating,” K.C. Brekken, the school’s communications manager, wrote in an e-mail to the Review-Journal on Friday.
Players were charged $125 per month to participate in workouts beginning in early September with personal trainer Corky Field of Live-In Fitness in Henderson. The workouts were mandatory, according to multiple unnamed sources.
Mandatory team activities that players are required to pay for would be considered a violation of National Junior College Athletic Association rules.

“Conditioning programs in college level athletics are a fact of life and have been a part of the CSN program well before this coach,” Brekken wrote in the e-mail. “What CSN is investigating is whether there are any irregularities in these conditioning programs.”
Sheff previously coached for seven years at Bishop Gorman, leading the Gaels to five consecutive Class 4A state championships. Sheff was hired as the baseball coach and athletic director at CSN on July 9 to replace Tim Chambers, who left in June to become the baseball coach at UNLV.
Sheff said the players were “encouraged” to enroll in Field’s program, but that it was not mandatory.
“We want the kids to stay together and work out as a group,” Sheff said. “We think there’s an upside to that in terms of building team unity.
“Our facilities are not equipped to handle 30 guys. … With the cost that was thrown out, I thought it was a great opportunity for our kids.”
Field is listed on the Bishop Gorman website as an assistant wrestling coach and his nephew Johnny played baseball for Sheff at Gorman before signing a national letter of intent with the University of Arizona last November.
Corky Field said the CSN players were required to pay the $125 only for the first two months of his program.

“He came to me and I felt honored and wanted to do everything I can to help them out,” Corky Field said. “The kids are getting an advantage of being put through a process like this and being able to reach goals physically as well as mentally.”
Sheff confirmed that at least six players were not comfortable with or could not afford to pay for the workouts and stopped participating. Sheff said since the players were going to Field on their own, they were allowed to work with other trainers or at a local gym.
An unnamed source said many of the workouts with Field were held on a tennis court in Tuscany Village rather than at a gym.
“Guys were getting hurt from it, their shoulders, backs,” an unnamed source said. “It wasn’t worth $125. I don’t know where all the money was going to, but it doesn’t cost $125 to work out like that.”
According to several unnamed sources, the coaching staff also charged players $25 a week for food that was delivered after practice, which would also be a violation of NJCAA rules.

“It was pizza and wings,” the source said. “It wasn’t nutritious food.”
Former major league player David Segui, whose son was recruited to play at CSN out of Kansas City, Kan., by Chambers, said his son brought his own food and refused to pay.
“The money isn’t the issue, the principle is,” Segui said. “I’m more concerned for the other kids. They flat-out robbed kids of money they don’t even have.”
Assistant coach Chris Latham informed Sheff on Thursday he was resigning, although he said Friday that his decision was not related to CSN’s investigation into the program.
“COLLEGE OF SOUTHERN NEVADA BASEBALL LOSING 20 SCHOLARSHIPS”, 12/14/10
The College of Southern Nevada baseball program will lose a total of 20 scholarships over the next two years, but avoided any further penalties, after a National Junior College Athletic Association investigation uncovered three rules violations under former coach and athletic director Chris Sheff. (AND HIS STAFF)
Instead, CSN will be limited to 14 scholarships, rather than the maximum of 24, beginning in the fall of 2011 and again for the 2012-13 school year.

“There is a sense of relief, especially because we will not lose postseason play,” said Arthur Byrd, the school’s vice president for student affairs.
Sheff was fired (WITH HIS STAFF) Nov. 3 without ever coaching a game at the school. His dismissal came one day after the school announced it would conduct an independent review of the baseball program to look into numerous allegations against Sheff and his coaching staff, including whether players were inappropriately charged for a mandatory conditioning program with personal trainer Corky Field of Live-In Fitness.
In a letter to Byrd detailing the NJCAA’s ruling, executive director Mary Ellen Leicht wrote that while there was no evidence to prove the $125 for the program was mandatory, “Any time a coach highly recommends his/her student-athletes take part in a program it is normally regarded as ‘mandatory’ in the eyes of the player.”
Leicht also wrote that because the program was negotiated by Sheff and offered only to student-athletes, it was considered an “inducement and outside of the allowable scholarship limits,” which constitutes a violation of NJCAA bylaws.
A fundraising activity conducted by Field in which players sent a letter to family and friends asking for donations to help pay for the conditioning program was also deemed a violation of NJCAA bylaws, according to Leicht’s letter.
IN ADDITION, THE NJCAA RULED THAT AN AFTER-PRACTICE MEAL PROGRAM ARRANGED BY ASSISTANT COACH SCOTT BAKER WAS A VIOLATION.

“Although violations of this nature could have resulted in the CSN baseball program being placed on probation for the current year, the NJCAA has taken into account the actions taken by the college to ensure future compliance with all association rules and regulations,” Leicht wrote.
This is what I ‘KNOW’.
* The current head baseball coach at Basic HS/Academy as a staff member of Chris Sheff at CSN in 2010 was involved in a scheme as described in a letter. “In a letter to Byrd detailing the NJCAA’s ruling, executive director Mary Ellen Leicht wrote that while there was no evidence to prove the $125 for the program was mandatory, “Any time a coach highly recommends his/her student-athletes take part in a program it is normally regarded as ‘mandatory’ in the eyes of the player.”
* In addition, the NJCAA ruled that an after-practice meal program arranged by assistant coach Scott Baker was a violation who is now the current head baseball coach at Basic HS/Academy.
* “Although violations of this nature could have resulted in the CSN baseball program being placed on probation for the current year, the NJCAA has taken into account the actions taken by the college to ensure future compliance with all association rules and regulations,” Leicht wrote.

* These violations resulted in a loss 20 scholarships for two years by the NJCAA for the CSN baseball program. This is considered a ‘severe penalty’ especially for a coaching staff who did not ever coach a regular season game.
* The perception of the CSN administrators of these violations resulted in Chris Sheff and his staff including the current head baseball coach at Basic HS/Academy to be ‘Terminated’/fired with cause, from their job.
* Their ‘Termination’ under the definition can be considered, “Misconduct, or termination for cause, is another common reason for a dismissal. This is when employees are let go because of ethical issues, such as lying, falsifying information, stealing, or other major misconduct in the workplace”.
The ‘Quest for the Truth of my Insanity’ has now taken a ‘bizarre turn’. Please help me if you can in connecting the dots.
A NJCAA college CSN, operating down the street from Basic HS/Academy, which is also a Nevada state funded school, discovered an unethical and immoral practice within their baseball program. Severe penalties resulted on the college and the entire baseball staff was ‘terminated’/”fired with cause’’, for conducting such practices.

Basic HS/Academy, another state run school, and the CCSD, including current Trustee Deanna L. Wright supports and sanctions these same unethical, immoral practices on the campus of Basic HS/Academy at the expense of the taxpayers of Henderson, NV. These ‘Discriminatory Practices’ are preventing players and families from PLAYIN THEIR DREAMS of playing high school baseball because of their financial situation.
To rub salt into the wounds of Henderson Taxpayers, their tax dollars have been supporting the Southern NV Blue Sox whose STATUS AS A DOMESTIC NON-PROFIT CORPORATION HAS BEEN REVOKED BY THE STATE OF NEVADA.
Part of the Mission Statement for the Nick Feher ‘TAKE 5’ Foundation reads that we will do our very best to ‘Promote and Share’ the Dreams of others in the Henderson Community. We will also encourage others to do the same and to ‘Protect’ their own Dreams.
Without the assistance of an outside agency who have the proper investigative powers, this Discrimination, Unethical and Immoral practices will continue unabated affecting the Dreams of others in the Henderson community. In addition, as a news media you can contact Scott Baker of the Southern NV Blue Sox and request that his ‘books’ be opened to you for he advertises his organization as being a non-profit, tax-exempt status.
I thank you for your time. If I can be of any further assistance my contact, information is below.

MY NEWS RELEASE GARNERED ONE RESPONSE FROM BILL BRADLEY, SPORTS EDITOR OF THE LAS VEGAS REVIEW JOURNAL
Bill Bradley [bbradley@reviewjournal.com] 11/1/16
“Hi George,
Thanks for writing.

We looked at these allegations that you sent us six months ago and found very few facts to warrant a deeper story into the Basic baseball program.
Quite frankly, a lot of it is the same practices at other high schools in the region. And many of the discriminatory practices you allege are part of the club sports that aren’t governed by a high school district or NIAA rules.
Thanks for reading,”
Even though it is a thought provoking response, it did not address the current situation at Basic HS/Academy. It danced around the main question, “Families that choose for their son to play baseball at Basic HS/Academy must pay a penalty of over $20,000 for 4 years. If your son and your family had to incur this stipend to play a sport at a CCSD taxpayer funded school, how would you react?
I ask that same question to you as you read this. How would you react? Please permit me to examine the impact of $20,000 a little closer. Two of my children, graduates of Basic HS, recently earned college degrees in Education from Nevada State College. They are both currently employed as Math Teachers in the CCSD.

With the proper financial planning, plus the award of the Millennium Scholarship the total cost for each, for their degrees averaged around $15,000 from a local college including CSN. Can you or someone please explain to me the justification that to play baseball at Basic HS/Academy exceeds the cost of a degree from a local college?
My Quest began in the summer of 2015. An email was sent by me and received by then Principal David Bechtel and current Basic HS/Academy head baseball coach Scott Baker. In it, questions of their practices were addressed. If such practices continued, a letter would be sent to Trustee Deanna L. Wright and the entire CCSD School Board including the Superintendent.
The 2015-16 school year continued with these questionable practices. An email was sent to the above-mentioned parties questioning these practices. The following is the one of two official responses that I received from the CCSD October 26, 2015.
Hazel B. Jackson [hbjackson@interact.ccsd.net]
Dear. Mr. Feher,
Thank you for sharing your concerns. As the Ombudsman who works with Basic High School, your e-mail was forwarded to me at the Constituent Services Office. As you know, there are specific requirements for outside groups using Clark County School District facilities.
The group you reference in your e-mail has completed all of the required documents and paid the required fees. Any outside group using CCSD facilities must complete a CCF-410. In addition, groups may be granted an In-Kind Service Agreement by providing a project or donation that requires no additional District resource. Teams not associated with the school, but using their facilities, are allowed to charge for participation.
I’m sorry for the loss of your son. I looked at the Nick Feher “Take 5” Facebook page and applaud you for your work with young people in memory of your son. Please do not hesitate to contact me if I can be of assistance to you.
Regards,
Hazel B. Jackson

WITH LITTLE TO GO ON, FOR I HAD NO POWER OF AUTHORITY IN THESE MATTERS, MY QUEST LEAD ME TO THE FOLLOWING PUBLIC ENTITIES:
* 4 MORE LETTERS TO CCSD TRUSTEE DEANNA WRIGHT WITH NO OFFICIAL RESPONSE FROM HER OR HER OFFICE
* A LETTER TO THE CCEA WITH NO RESPONSE
* A LETTER TO THE ACLU WITH A RESPONSE THAT IF IT WARRANTED, THEY WOULD CONTACT ME. NO CONTACT TO DATE
* A LETTER TO MAYOR HAFEN AND CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS OF HENDERSON, NV. THEIR RESPONSE WAS IT WAS A CCSD MATTER AND REFERRED ME TO THE OFFICE OF CCSD TRUSTEE WRIGHT
* MY FIRST MEDIA NEWS RELEASE ON 5/16 WITH NO OFFICIAL RESPONSE

IF IT WARRANTS, ALL OF MY WRITINGS CAN BE FOUND ON MY WEBSITE AT PLAYINYOURDREAMS.COM. ON THE HOMEPAGE BY CLICKING ON THE SECTIONS TITLED ‘WIN A STATE TITLE’ AND ‘DREAM NEWSLETTER’, #2 & #3. THEY ARE ALSO AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST.
It is not my position to question the wisdom of CCSD regulations, for others have crafted them to assist the constituents of the CCSD. However, as a taxpayer, is it not my right to ask questions concerning the use of taxpayers’ money that support a ‘private enterprise’ on the campus of Basic HS/Academy?
The following questions were asked in one form or another to Trustee Deanna Wright.
* Why are my tax dollars being used to fund an immoral, unethical club baseball program known as the Southern NV Blue Sox, managed by Scott Baker on the campus of Basic HS/Academy?
* A similar program at CSN that Scott Baker was part of was declared as not meeting the standards of CSN, a Nevada State funded educational institution, and the NJCAA, resulting in the firing of its baseball staff, including Scott Baker, plus other penalties. Why are not these same standards being applied for the CCSD?

* Who is the responsible CCSD personnel that reviewed and approved the application and status of Scott Baker and the Southern NV Blue Sox to operate as a ‘private enterprise’ on the campus of Basic HS/Academy?
* Why is Scott Baker and the Southern NV Blue Sox as a ‘private enterprise’ sanctioned by the CCSD and funded by the taxpayers, permitted to earn more than a starting and highest paid teacher on the campus of Basic HS/Academy?
* Why does the CCSD sanction Scott Baker and the Southern NV Blue Sox as a ‘private enterprise’ on the campus of Basic HS/Academy that knowingly violates the standards of the CCSD Discrimination Policy?
SILENCE WAS THE RESPONSE OF TRUSTEE WRIGHT AND THE CCSD.
SIR THOMAS MORE SAYS, The maxim is “Qui tacet consentit“: the maxim of the law is “Silence gives consent“. If therefore you wish to construe what my silence betokened, you must construe that I consented.
It would be prudent at this time to review the word ‘Discrimination’.
Merriam-Webster simple definition of ‘Discrimination’ is:
* “The practice of unfairly treating a person or group of people differently from other people or groups of people
* The ability to recognize the difference between things that are of good quality and those that are not
* The ability to understand that one thing is different from another thing
Full definition includes:
a : the act, practice, or an instance of discriminating categorically rather than individually
b : prejudiced or prejudicial outlook, action, or treatment
DISCRIMINATING AMONG MEANINGS OF DISCRIMINATION
Discrimination has senses with neutral, positive, and negative connotations. On the one hand, it can refer to “the act (or power) of distinguishing” or to “good taste, refinement.” These meanings, sometimes reinforced with modifiers (as in a fine or a nice discrimination), stress an ability to perceive differences as an index of unusual intelligence.
On the other hand, when the perception of difference is marked by invidious distinction or hostility, the word (often followed by against) takes on very negative overtones, as in the senses “act of discriminating categorically rather than individually” (discrimination against women, age discrimination) and “a prejudiced outlook or course of action” (racial discrimination).

The original, neutral sense of discrimination, “the act of distinguishing,” came into English by the early 17th century, followed by the positive one associated with superior discernment in the 18th century. Discrimination in the “prejudice” sense has been in use since the early 19th century, almost 200 years ago”.
MY TIME HAS COME TO AN END. BEFORE DEPARTING I LEAVE YOU WITH THE FOLLOWING:
If this was a LGBT issue or another case of ‘minority discrimination’ at Basic HS/Academy every media outlet, every concerned local, county, state representative would be investigating these ‘discriminatory practices’. Parents have publicly stated these claims of ‘discrimination’ on my Facebook page. More than a handful of other parents have confided in me concerning these ‘discriminatory practices’. Many others go unreported for ‘Fear’ of retribution.
Because these ‘Discriminatory Practices’ affect only a small portion of teenage boys and families in the Basic HS/Academy zone plus its Teachers, Coaches, and other Staff Members at the expense of taxpayers in Henderson, NV, they have been ignored by the CCSD and others in the Las Vegas Valley.

The CCSD refuses to answer the charges to my questions. Other entities tell me it is not their concern or jurisdiction. Hopefully, as Representatives of the State of Nevada you can find the time to answer the following questions:
* Does the State of Nevada sanction the ‘Discriminatory Practices’ of Scott Baker and the Southern NV Blue Sox and their ‘private enterprise’ operations on the campus of Basic HS/Academy at the expense of taxpayers in Henderson, NV? Please explain.
* Does the State of Nevada sanction the ‘private enterprise’ operations of Scott Baker and the Southern NV Blue Sox whose program is similar to past baseball operations at CSN, which were deemed immoral and unethical by CSN and the NJCAA, at the expense of taxpayers in Henderson NV? Please explain.

* Does the State of Nevada sanction a questionable ‘private enterprise’ operation of Scott Baker and the Southern NV Blue Sox that earns more money than a starting teacher and top paid teacher on the campus of Basic HS/ Academy at taxpayers’ expense in the city of Henderson, NV? Please explain.
* Since the CCSD refused to investigate itself, will the State of Nevada investigate whether or not the ‘private enterprise’ operations of Scott Baker and the Southern NV Blue Sox are operating legally or illegally under CCSD regulations, from its inception through the current date on the campus of Basic HS/Academy, at the expense of taxpayers in Henderson, NV? Please explain.
* If the State of Nevada through its investigation deems that the operations of Scott Baker and the Southern NV Blue Sox are a ‘private enterprise’ operating on the campus of Basic HS/Academy, will an audit of his books be conducted to verify that his operations were legally conducted under the Nevada Revised Statues, and that all taxes and other business fees have been paid to the State of Nevada, Clark County, and the City of Henderson? Please explain.

* If the State of Nevada through its investigation deems that the operations of Scott Baker and the Southern NV Blue Sox are a ‘private enterprise’ operating illegally on the campus of Basic HS/Academy, at the expense of taxpayers in Henderson, NV who will be held accountable in the CCSD for sanctioning an illegal operation? Please explain.
* If your son, grandson, or someone else you knew wanted to play baseball at Basic HS/Academy, would you agree to pay $20,000 or more for the privilege? Please explain.
* If you discovered a baseball program at your local high school that could be perceived as an unethical, immoral, discriminatory, operation, what would you do? Please explain.
In closing, I thank you for your valuable time and for your contributions to the Great State of Nevada. As I have shared my ‘Quest for the Truth of my Insanity’ with others, a common theme developed. Overwhelmingly others saw this situation at Basic HS/Academy as a potential example of extortion, fraud, and corruption gone unchecked.
It was agreed upon that those responsible for this situation should be held accountable for their actions and if warranted, face criminal proceedings. As your faithful taxpayer, I look forward to your help and response.
Perhaps if your time permits, the State of Nevada can investigate the claims made by Bill Bradley in his response to me about this widespread culture that has permeated the CCSD and the entire Las Vegas Valley.
A copy of this letter has been emailed and mailed to you by USPS.
Thank you,

AFTER MAILING OFF MY LETTERS, A TREAT OF ONE OF MY PASSIONS WAS ON THE MENU. I WOULD PRACTICE THE 3 R’s WHILE SITTING ON MY BACK PORCH.
I am blest to have an ‘Oasis in the Desert’. To entertain me in the backyard are the ‘magical sounds’ of running water. John Muir, founder of the Yosemite Valley claims to have found God/PASSION in Nature.
In my IMAGINATION, as I sat listening to a pond and another fountain, my brain and body were immersed deep within Nature watching and listening to a creek, stream, river, or small waterfall. The soothing sounds began to trigger memories and thoughts within me.
It was three years ago that this Facebook page was set-up. Dgirl had played an instrumental role in the process. It was her wisdom that sent me off to discover Rachel, the Gilley Girl, who extolled the benefits of a Community Facebook Page.
In our ‘Bizarre Relationship’ that still continues, Dgirl made herself available for me to share a gazillion words with her. A number of these writings have been shared with others in one form or another.
Dgirl’s posting of her ‘Starlet’ pic on Nick’s Birthday in 2016 introduced me to the word, COMPASSION. Thanks are always included in my writings to her.

It was also her decision for the ‘unused tickets’ that resulted in my meeting the ‘Fabled Cello of the American West’. These two meetings introduced me to and reconfirmed the word, PASSION. My thanks have also been extended to this Alpha Female Cat.
A few years ago, I posted a ‘Mission Statement’ about the Foundation on Facebook.
Nick Feher “TAKE 5” Foundation MISSION STATEMENT: To make a commitment, to help honor THE PAST, THE PRESENT, AND THE FUTURE of the “YE OLDE” Henderson NV, Baseball Community. To play a part, of the driving, force that helps manifest the dream/goal that brings a State High School Baseball Championship(s) back to “YE OLDE” Henderson, NV. To challenge others to be a “Difference Maker” for not only themselves, but for others. And, “When in Doubt” to remember to “TAKE 5”.
With the help of others, and in a ‘Bizarre Fashion’ one could argue that the MISSION has been successfully completed. Confucius said, “The power of spiritual forces in the universe—how active it is everywhere! Invisible to the eyes and impalpable to the senses, it is inherent in all things and nothing can escape its operation.”
To experience its cosmic shower, all one has to do is the way of the “great learning”. For Confucius a good person is one who learns untiringly and teaches others without being wearied. It is a duty to cultivate oneself and in the meantime to help others cultivate themselves, to renovate oneself and in the meantime to help others renovate themselves toward perfect goodness.

This is what Confucius means by saying that if you wish to establish your own character, also establish the character of others. If you wish to be successful yourself, also help others to be successful”.
My friend Greg in Houston, two years ago prophesied, when he said, ‘I would not be surprised if your Quest ends up in the NV State Legislature.’ Numerous thanks have gone his way since his prophesy.
Speaking of thanks, my thanks are not enough for all the Queens and Noble Men that have supported my Quest, but they are the ‘Very Best’ I can offer. As I sat reflecting on my porch, a visitor appeared. It was not his first visit of the New Year. I had seen him a few times before.

Once was on the day of my posting of ‘TAKE 5’ Dream Newsletter #5. As I opened my blind in the morning, out in the backyard, he made an appearance. The day my Quest to the Capital started, as I looked out from my window in the front yard, he was playing in the tree that he and I planted when he was three.
For a brief moment, as I sat on my porch, Nick disguised as a Hummingbird, proudly fluttered in one spot as in suspended animation directly in my view. I thanked him for sharing another one of his PASSIONS with me. Hopefully, I returned his ‘Blessings’ before he sped off.
Before you speed off as the post comes to an end, stop by below this post and watch the PASSION of Christina Perri in her musical video ‘A Thousand Years’.
If your time permits, watch the new video of the PASSION of the Cat-tet as they perform with their Olde World String Instruments their version of ‘Titanium’ by David Guetta & Sia.

In my next story, loose ends will be tied. Brooke the Mixologist at the Tuscany and the ‘Fabled Cello of the American West’ still has not received their ‘Tokens’. Recently, I left my ‘Fishbowl’ to visit the South Point to garner a ‘Blessing’ from singer Vanessa LeGrand.

Vanessa was on vacation. Instead, I was TAKEN by Sydney. Originally, I thought she was an ‘Angel’ disguised as a server dispensing her ‘Blessings’ upon me, while I enjoyed the PASSION of Wes Winters. After returning to my ‘Fishbowl’, and after some research, her name according to the French was a derivative of the official male Patron Saint of France.
The ‘Blessings’ and PASSION were so powerful, it inspired me to write a story and mail it to Michael Gaughan owner of the South Point. It is titled, ‘My Virgin Trip to the South Point’.

Forces provided me the opportunity me to earn a ‘Blessing’ from Vanessa LeGrand on Friday 3/10/17 in the Grand View Lounge at the South Point. More on my visits to the South Point will be told in my next post. The ‘Quest for the Truth of My Insanity’ Continues!
Remember to share and promote the DREAMS of others. Also, protect your DREAMS, and show others how to protect theirs. If not, among us walk those who are Dream Takers and Dream Stompers, and they will do their ‘Very Best’ to TAKE & STOMP your DREAMS.
If you feel the need, you can contact the Nevada Legislators mentioned previously in the post @ https://www.leg.state.nv.us/
If you care to wish Happy Birthday to Nick and you are a loyal, occasional, or first time reader of this page, please tell others about my ‘Quest for the Truth of my Insanity’.
Until our paths cross again, continue to PLAYIN YOUR DREAMS. For my TIME has come to re-enter my ‘Fishbowl’ to enjoy another PASSION of mine KNOWN as ‘MARCH MADNESS’.
