During the time that has passed, since my last post in and out of my ‘Fishbowl’ in ‘Ye Olde’ Henderson, NV, many marvelous forces, events, and ‘Inspiration’ has showered and nurtured me as the Executive Officer of the Nick Feher ‘TAKE 5’ Foundation and in my personal life.small actsMany times in one’s life, forces will place you on “The Road Not Taken”. One’s choice or lack of choice will have an impact on one’s Dreams. In making choices, one should also take a moment and reflect how this choice may affect the Dreams of others.

My reflection is found in a poem, that I have I shared before. It is worth sharing again.

IT’S FANTASTIC 5 TIME—FANTASTIC 5 IS NEW—5 IS NEW!!

Since my last post, many blessings and gifts have been sent my way in and out of my ‘Fishbowl’. I want to thank you for your continued support of my 2016 Spring Truth of My Insanity Campaign. Shout-outs go the following:shoutouts John Moiseve is attempting with his Basic HS alumni database to help contact the 1955-56 Basic HS Baseball Teams in order to invite them to this year’s Celebration.

These teams are credited for the first two state baseball titles in Basic HS History. It is the Foundation’s intent to honor them and their families at the 2016 ‘YE OLDE’ Henderson, NV Baseball Celebration on Friday 6/17/16. By doing so, the theme of ‘PLAYIN YOUR DREAMS’ can be shared with the entire baseball community.

Dina Preciado if you are reading this, I tried to PM you on Facebook about Shawn, but your page was not accepting PM’s. If anyone else reading this knows Dina or Shawn, please have them PM me. Additionally, all help is needed for my quest to honor our first two baseball state title winners in what some might consider to be a ‘Historic Event’.

My friends Greg and his wife Rachel also deserve a shout-out. When time permits, I will share with you on my website, the blessings and gifts that I received as an invited guest to their ‘dream beach home’. (Not real image)yThe views, sounds, touches, smells, tastes, mixed with ‘Time Well-Spent With Others With No Guarantees’, was the ‘Revelations’ and ‘Epiphanies’ that were needed to help fuel my 2016 Spring Campaign.

If you want to take a ‘CHANCE’, Pour yourself a cold one, grab some snacks and enjoy the World of my Insanity.

For a quick review, of what has occurred in and out of my ‘Fishbowl’ in “YE OLDE” Henderson, NV, since Part 3. This is what I know.

Ever since this purported Fraud and Corruption at the expense of the Taxpayers in the City of Henderson, was thrown in my face, not once have I asked anyone to join me. Yes, I have sought suggestions, ideas, and feedback from others.

ROAD NOT TAKEN

For those of you following my ‘Quest’, your public and private support, suggestions and feedback have been the fuel to power me on my Journey. These blessings and gifts have shined their light on my path and have eased my Road Not Taken

I will be honest with you. In my ‘Insanity’, I thought that one email to all our CCSD Trustees, including our own Deanna L. Wright would put ‘my dog’ to rest. My ‘Insanity’ reasoned with me that as a former CCSD Educator, with over 33 years of service, an official response with copies of the requested documents would be honored.

“TAKE 5”–2016 QUEST TO HELP WIN STATE TITLE–PART 3

THE QUEST FOR ‘THE TRUTH OF MY INSANITY’ CONTINUES. OUR 2016 SPRING INSANITY CAMPAIGN TO ASSIST IN WINNING A HIGH SCHOOL STATE BASEBALL TITLE UNRAVELS. For those of you returning welcome back. For those of you, who are new, a review is in order.

For a more in-depth review, please read our previous posts, “TAKE 5”–2016 Quest to Help Win State Title part 1&2.

For a quick review, of what has occurred in and out of my ‘Fishbowl’ in “YE OLDE” Henderson, NV, this is what I know. Principal Dave Bechtel as commander of the submarine, The Basic Academy, has chosen the strategy of ‘Silent Running’ with his captain Scott Baker.

Head Baseball Coach Matt Iglitz, captain of the Foothill HS sub is using the same strategy as Principal Bechtel. Their ‘Silence’ could be construed as consent to my campaign.

Each of these commanders are sitting on their chosen powder keg and dodging other depth charges. Coach Iglitz sits on my 5,000+ words retort. No offer from him has yet been received for me to personally read it, to his entire organization. Nor, has there been any acknowledgement, that he followed my instructions, and read it personally to his entire organization.

Principal Bechtel is sitting on the CCSD sanctioned operation of Scott Baker and the Southern Nevada Blue Sox at his campus. On the other hand, if these sanctioned public, documents are not available; can one assume that a crime of fraud and corruption is being committed on the campus of the Basic Academy at the expense of the taxpayers?

Coach Dave Soto of Chaparral High School, text me the following on 3/15/16: “I am so sorry I haven’t gotten back to you…dealing with lots of issues work the program including shortage of players”.

“TAKE 5”–2016 QUEST TO HELP WIN A STATE TITLE–PART 2

“TAKE 5”–QUEST TO HELP WIN A STATE TITLE–PART 2

“HEAR YE -HEAR YE-HEAR-YE!! IF OUR INFORMATION IS CORRECT, THE LAST NEVADA STATE HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL TITLE FOR “YE OLDE” HENDERSON, NV. WAS WON ON MAY 22, 1987 BY BASIC H.S. That means 10,525 days or 1,503 weeks and 4 days have passed since our community has hoisted a championship banner.

To Principal Dave Bechtel of the Basic Academy in Henderson, NV, it has only recently been brought to my attention that his name has been misspelled in previous posts. There was no intent to do so. Our spell checker takes full responsibility for the error.

It has been some time since my last post on this topic. Results have been formulating in and out of my ‘Fishbowl’ and to remain true to our Mission Statement, these results can now be shared with our readers in and out of our community, in order for them to formulate their own opinion concerning the ‘Sanity’ and ‘Insanity’.

Sanity-vs-Insanity

In a recent writing, using the wisdom of the greats before us, I have decided to give a name to my current quest. This year’s quest has been christened ‘The 2016 Spring Insanity Campaign’.

“TAKE 5” wants to thank those of you who have demonstrated your support both publicly and privately, for our Facebook page the Nick Feher “TAKE 5” Foundation and our website.

During a recent reading from the book ‘The Story of Philosophy’ by Will Durant, Durant shares his insight, by using quotes and stories from those martyrs and saints whose shadows still cover our planet today.

Thoreau writes, “To be a philosopher is not merely to have subtle thoughts, nor even to found a school, but so to love wisdom as to live, according to its dictates, a life of simplicity, independence, magnanimity, and trust”.

“TAKE 5”–2016 QUEST TO HELP WIN A STATE TITLE–PART 1

“HEAR YE -HEAR YE-HEAR-YE!! IF OUR INFORMATION IS CORRECT, THE LAST NEVADA STATE HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL TITLE FOR “YE OLDE” HENDERSON, NV. WAS WON ON MAY 22, 1987 BY BASIC H.S. That means 10,507 days or 28 years and 9 months have passed since our community has hoisted a championship banner.

After a Fall and Winter break, I am back to report from in and out of my ‘Fishbowl’ on the happenings of baseball and other community interests in “YE OLDE” Henderson, NV. My intent is to share with you my observations and analysis as it unfolds.

Hall of Fame Basketball ‘Great’, Bill Walton said he recently uncovered a great button. This was the crux of what was written on the button, “The Truth wants to be told. Silence is consent.”quote-i-shall-assume-that-your-silence-gives-consent-plato-67-3-0374

At any time, as a reader please show me the ‘ills of my way’ if I ever stray from the Foundation’s Mission Statement, which reads:

To make a commitment to help honor THE PAST, THE PRESENT, AND THE FUTURE of the “YE OLDE” Henderson NV, Baseball Community.

To play a part, of the driving, force that helps manifest the dream/goal that brings a State High School Baseball Championship(s) back to “YE OLDE” Henderson, NV.

To challenge others to become a “Difference Maker” for not only themselves, but for others. And “When in Doubt” to remember to “TAKE 5”.

BEFORE MOVING FORWARD, A LOOK BACK IS NECESSARY. “TAKE 5” wants to recognize and thank the following for their contributions for the 2015 Celebration: Lori Dry Feher, Nick’s Mom; Nick’s brother and sister, Michael and Megan; Mel Godinez, Ed and Mark Costolo, Dave Blake, the Guardians of BMAC, our sponsors, and to all who made the 2015 Celebration possible.

“TAKE 5” wants to give the following local Smith’s Food and Drug Store personnel a one-man’s standing ovation: Nate Rose, Grocery Manager; Heather McMullen, Donation Coordinator; Jannen Miranda, Front End Manager; and Melissa Mavridis, Assistant Store Manager.

Through a ‘gentleman’s agreement’, Smith’s arraigned great pricing and included donations for the Celebration. Plus, more donations were given to the local Boys/Girls Club for a July picnic. “TAKE 5” looks forward to facilitating with Smith’s for future Celebrations and July picnics at the Boys/Girls Club.
