A MID-SUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM CELEBRATION A PILGRIMAGE-6/17/16

IT WAS AS BILL SHAKESPEARE DESCRIBED IT “A MID-SUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM CELEBRATION”. MARILYN MONROE IS QUOTED, “SOMETIMES GOOD THINGS FALL APART, SO BETTER THINGS CAN FALL TOGETHER”. OUR THANKS GO TO MANY OF YOU.

As I was swimming in my ‘Fishbowl’ in ‘Ye Olde’ Henderson, NV on the night of Tuesday, June 14, 2016 off into the distance, I heard a bell. The bell was a signal from my cell phone that an email had been sent to me.

Prior to this bell, as I floated in my ‘Fishbowl’, I was trying to connect the dots from where The Nick Feher ‘TAKE 5’ Foundation started to the ‘The Road Not Taken’ beginning at 6:30pm Friday night. A new relationship was to be started with ‘no guarantees’.2362AD0500000578-2844911-image-108_1416618023200 Another relationship would go separate ways. (CAUTION THIS POST IS 10,500 WORDS)

This other relationship had completed seven years. Forces dictated that it was now time to part. It is normal to reminisce as one moves forward on the journey of life. This is an excerpt of last year JUNE 2, 2015 letter that I sent to the HLL.

*After the physical passing of Nick on November 27, 2007, and through the generosity of the ‘YE OLDE” Henderson Community, and others, a Memorial Scholarship Fund was set up in his memory. The original purpose of this Fund was to honor one senior baseball player from Basic HS who exemplified “DO YOUR VERY BEST”.14198776-do-your-best--words-written-with-chalk-on-a-wooden-blackboard With this Award, a $500 cash scholarship went with it.

A representative of the HLL, contacted me, and explained to me that the HLL would like to do something in Nick’s memory in the 2008 season. It was agreed upon that an Award, similar but without the scholarship, would be established. By a vote of players, and, or coaches, one 12 year old Major Division player would be selected.

With the HLL invitation, I spoke to the crowd at the 2008 Opening Night Ceremonies explaining to them the AWARD, among other things. I still have the original speech. Since the President’s position is always changing, my recollection of him in 2008 and other HLL Presidents is vague.

However, your records will have it. As the 2008 season continued, I stayed in contact with that President, always being assured that this Award would be done. As the season came to a close, during my phone call with the President, I was informed that time did not permit for the voting of the Award.41kgHTTuSWL._SX300_

I suggested that perhaps the Award be decided, using the same voting criteria, for a member from the Major League All-Star Team. He explained to me that because the All-Star season, is a season by its self, it would not be possible to do so. I thank him for his time. This experience was etched in my brain as; “Fool me once shame on you”.

For the 2009 season, after reviewing the Foundation financial records, I mailed the HLL my sponsor’s application and a check. As the team owner, not only could I attend the games, I could sit in the owner’s box. With the blessing of the parents, I was going to celebrate with my team at my house after the season.

It was after Opening Night; I was informed that I was not chosen as an owner. Some clerical error of not checking the HLL mailbox, for my application and fee, which was mailed before your deadline, resulted in me not becoming an owner. The President of the league called me and apologized.

I accepted his apology and his phone number if he could be of any assistance in the future. After hanging up, in my brain was etched, “Fool me twice, shame on me”.fool-me-once-shame-on-you-fool-me-twice-shame-on-me-5 As the HLL season progressed, I was blessed with an idea. The Foundation had within its budget, to have a Celebration at Nick’s house honoring the HLL Junior All-stars and coaches.

We then could spread the word of “TAKE 5” and present to the players, tokens of appreciation. Food, drinks and deserts would be served, and the players could enjoy the amenities of the back yard. The Foundation would also donate $221 to the All-Star fund. I called the President of the HLL in May 2009, and explained my proposal.

I asked him, if I was needed to speak to the entire board. He thought the idea was great and he would pass on the info to the rest of the board and get back to me after the next week’s meeting. That time passed, with no returned call. Following the HLL website, another board meeting was scheduled late May.

I called the President again, and he assured me that my proposal would be addressed. He said he would get back to me. The time passed, but still no call. In my brain, the ‘little guys’ went off. Could someone please explain to me the following: Why do people say one thing, but do another?scott-podsednik-quote-i-dont-have-words-to-describe-whats-going-on-her

Since the results that I was seeking was not coming to fruition, other methods needed to be explored. In my brain, I was having a dilemma. The Nick Feher “TAKE 5” Foundation was offering the use of Nick’s house for a Celebration, plus a donation of $221 to the HLL.

For whatever reasons, for I have no control over outside forces, the HLL was not accepting our offer. I wondered how many other youth organizations would refuse such an offer. With the All-Star season nearing, in a last bat attempt, I emailed my dilemma to the President of the HLL, who responded within the hour and accepted our proposal.

It was the beginning of a partnership, between the HLL and The Nick Feher “TAKE 5” Foundation. Since that time, The Foundation has honored every Commitment that we have made with the HLL. To your credit, the HLL has always remained true to your word with “TAKE 5”. Together, from a Celebration of 20, The “YE OLDE” Henderson, NV Baseball Celebration set a record crowd in 2014 of more than 250 attendees. By examining the count, about 200 were from the HLL.psa

THOUGH THIS RELATIONSHIP LASTED SEVEN YEARS, IT DID BRING DESIRED RESULTS TO ITS PARTNERS. THE NICK FEHER ‘TAKE 5’ FOUNDATION WANTS TO PUBLICLY THANK THE HLL FOR ITS PAST YEARS OF SUPPORT.

OUR THANKS ALSO EXTEND TO THE ENTIRE BASEBALL COMMUNITY OF ‘YE OLDE’ HENDERSON, NV. FOR PERMITTING US TO BE PART OF THE ‘DRIVING FORCE’ TO BRING A HIGH SCHOOL STATE BASEBALL TITLE BACK TO ‘YE OLDE’ HENDERSON, NV.

With three days away from a Celebration with strangers, the bell that rang on my cell phone got my attention. I wondered who could be emailing me around 9 pm. To my surprise, it was Dgirl.

The last time our physical paths had crossed was on 3/31/16 during my ‘Promotion Night in Stoney’s’. (The management of Stoney’s is reviewing my story for publication.) This was the first time since December of 2013 that my senses had the opportunity to indulge with the Dgirl. It was a feast worth the wait.colorful-inspirational-quotes-life-quotes-quotes-words-y5Pz6L-quote

She only brushed me twice with her essence, with walk-byes. I was able to slow down the time in my brain and extend the moment. Words were not exchanged. Only the eyes, the mouth, the lips told her story. (‘Promotion Night in Stoney’s—Part 2’, will tell my version of the Dgirl and her emissary.)

Late May, 2016 was my last email to Dgirl. Over more of a two year period, Dgirl after reading all of my ‘Insane Writings’ had only responded once in August of 2015.

A message from Dgirl demanded my attention. Dgirl wrote the following: “I need to borrow money. Can you help me? My immediate reply was of course, I can help you.

Hearing from the Dgirl was a surprise, but thoughts of her accounts being hacked was a possibility. Not knowing the situation, verification had to be secured.

Once the verification was obtained, questions from me were next in order. As I told her, these same questions and answers would apply to my children if they borrowed money from me. Even though, I considered Dgirl a friend, this was a business transaction.

The early discoveries were that Dgirl had moved to Nashville, Tennessee her most favorite place in the world, following as she described it as a ‘Bad Break-Up’. For over two years, our relationship was based on my writings to her. Dgirl now had something to say.CCPkRsnUsAI_1J4

My brain perceived it as a ‘Blessing’. My Road Not Taken is standing before me in a few days. Perhaps ‘God is my Judge’ will share with me her wisdom for my journey. Share with me she did. With her as a healthy distraction, my tasks of preparing for the Celebration would be eased. (More on Dgirl later.)

Any event planner knows that organizing, preparing and serving for a Celebration is a challenging experience even when one knows the number of invitees. In my case, I was planning for 300. Items unused would be delivered to the local Boys/Girls Club for a future picnic.

Since the Mid-Summer Night’s Dream Celebration was a first of its kind, the number of guests would be unknown. Originally, 60 All-Stars of the Boys/Girls Club committed to the baseball celebration. With the help of Orlena Roscon, Director of the Club, our goal was to increase the number of guests and family members of the Boys/Girls Club in a span of a couple of weeks.

Over the years, ‘TAKE 5’ has been extremely thankful for the patronage of our sponsors. As with other relationships, time has affected some more than others. ‘TAKE 5’ personally acknowledges the following local sponsors who have helped ease our transition. In no particular order, they are: Tru Physical Therapy, Catskill Auto, A First Impression, Smith’s Food and Drugs, Logo Droppers, Emery’s La Barrista Catering, DJ Mike Pacini MVP Sound, Massage Therapist Kevin Hamels of Curatio Massage, the City of Henderson, and our Charter Sponsors SNAP Towing and Las Vegas Rock.

With a new unknown number of guests from the Boys/Girls Club, transportation from the Club to the BMAC and back had become primary obstacle #1. With three workable vans from the B&G Club, it would be doable. However, with only one in service, time would become an issue during the transportation process.stock-vector-set-of-vintage-bus-tour-and-bus-rent-badges-labels-and-design-elements-253867690

It was decided on Monday, June 13, 2016 that ‘TAKE 5’ would lease a bus for four hours to solve the transportation issue. On the same day, a text was sent to Michelle Romero asking if any of her connections in the City of Henderson might be able to assist us.

Whatever possessed me had me decide to play the waiting game with Michelle. If there were no response by late Wednesday afternoon, forces would lead me into another direction to lease a bus from a private company. With all the bus rental companies in Las Vegas, how difficult could it be to lease a bus for four hours at the last minute?

After my first call, it was told to me in a clear, loud voice, that it was almost impossible to lease a bus of any size for Friday night because of The Electric Daisy Carnival.Loud-and-Clear-Voices-Small-logo-220x220 This clear loud voice encouraged me to call other companies and in a non-convincing manner wished me well.

After more than a half a dozen of calls, a flush began to cover my body. My dream of securing a bus was fading with every phone call. My time of need directed me back to Michelle Romero.

Michelle, Ben and their family have always extended a warm welcome to our family.IMG_1162 These were days prior to and after Nick’s passing. With our children close in age, the competition of sports brought us together. Sometimes we were foes, other times we battled for the same the team. Our children competed at the local Boys & Girls Club.

YOU REALLY DO NOT KNOW THE DEPTHS OF OTHERS COMPASSION UNTIL YOU NEED IT.e0260c67e88ca22d52e3b48993e886e5

Late in the afternoon the day Nick passed, Michelle was standing in my front yard all by herself. I walked over to her, and we shared an embraced. It was an embrace from the entire Romero clan. Its force and her words of compassion engulfed my entire being. She said she was here to help in any way that she could.

Staying true to her word as afternoon turned nightfall, the reality of this ‘Devastation’ had taken a secure foothold. With her father, Myron Shepard, by her side, while standing in my kitchen, she asked me if any ceremonial plans were being made and where. My first reply was Palms Mortuary on Boulder Highway.

With kindness from her eyes, and a voice soothing as an angel, she said that the place could not handle the expected crowd. With her father in agreement, they both offered the usage of their LDS church and other facilities. It was an offer of deep compassion. One that I accepted.

Michelle Romero wrote the following to the Feher Family after Nick’ passing. For those of you who did not know Nick, I would like to share with you parts of Michelle’s letter.

E.L. Sullivan once wrote, “When God wants a great work done in the world or a great wrong righted, he goes about it in a very unusual way. He doesn’t stir up his earthquakes, or send forth his thunderbolts.f6d4b3f187bf743aced6303b04c3c38e Instead, he has a helpless baby born, perhaps in a simple home of some obscure mother.

And then God puts an idea into the mother’s heart. And she puts it into the baby’s mind. And then God waits. The greatest forces in the world are not the earthquakes and the thunderbolts. The greatest forces in the world are babies”.

Michelle also wrote: “As I have watched the huge outpouring of love and the large number of friends and family streaming in and out of your home over the last few days, two things have become clear to me. One—Nick was a great force in the world, with a great work to do. And Two—He was raised by loving parents who planted in his mind seeds of greatness and good values.

Nick very obviously had a tremendous impact on many kids. He set the example that drive, determination, and hard work are what helps you achieve your goals. And that things worth having, have to be earned. He gave 100% to whatever he did. And he expected no less from anyone else.”7deeea21fdef8a474be925cc7930955a

Michelle stepped up to the plate before. Perhaps my previous message of assistance to her dugout did not reach the desired mark. It was now after 5pm Wednesday. Thoughts of Dgirl spun in my brain. What role with her force from Nashville would she play in this?

I tripled down with Michelle. A voicemail with a sense of urgency was left in her message box. Another text message was sent, and a voicemail was delivered to her husband Ben. Forces would now be put into play, as my journey to secure a rental bus would continue.

With companies now running out as I was on the third page of my internet search, a biblical name appears as in Abraham Limo Services. Abraham according to the bible was bombarded by many obstacles, which he accepted and overcame. It was his ‘Faith’ in God and the promises of God that fueled Abraham on his journey.bible-alive-analysis-of-faith-in-the-old-testament-36-728

My obstacles paled in comparison to Abraham’s, but they were obstacles. I threw my ‘Faith’ into Abraham and Abraham answered my prayers. Abraham had one 29-seat mini-bus available for lease. Yes, more trips may be needed, and with a workable 15-seat van from the B&G Club, I thanked Abraham, Michelle and Dgirl.

Within moments after completing my contract with Abraham, a text message from Michelle arrives. She indicates that forces caused her to not forward my request to her contacts. She assured me that she has now left a message with her contact. When she hears back, she will let me know.

Abraham in their contract lets one cancel 24 hours prior to start time. Twenty-four hours would also give me more time to finish last minute chores for the Celebration and to think about what Dgirl wrote, ‘A Bad Break-Up’.724c5c8da21460b825774c692de48436

She had undergone a ‘Bad Break-Up resulting in her moving to her favorite place in the world, Nashville, Tennessee. Maybe, I could wrap my brain around it and see how it compares with my Break-Up with the HLL. No, I was not going to move, for I reside in my favorite place in the world, my ‘Dream Home’ in ‘Ye Olde’ Henderson, NV.

THE DAY IS THURSDAY 6/16/16. TIME IS ABOUT 5:30 PM.

While writing to Dgirl, a text message from Michelle Romero lights up my cell phone. It reads, “I have someone calling you right now”. Sure enough within minutes Ted Lockamon Recreation Supervisor, DRC/BVP/Transportation of the City of Henderson called me.

After listening to my transportation dilemma, he said he would call me right back. With time running short for my no fee cancellation with Abraham Limo Services, I sat patiently waiting.

A few minutes later, Ted calls me back. With his words, he reminded me of the Godfather.55726-the-godfather-i-ll-make-him-an-offer-he-can-t-refuse He made me an offer I could not refuse. The City of Henderson Parks and Rec could lease us a 45-seat bus for four hours and save us $275 from our contract with Abraham.

‘TAKE 5’ WANTS TO GIVE A SHOUT-OUT OF THANKS TO MICHELLE ROMERO AND TED LOCKAMON.

With the great news, I was able to ease out the contract with Abraham with no penalty. Thank you Abraham Limo Services. With all that settled, I was able to resume my writing to Dgirl. I wrote:

“What you will have to decide, was Nashville your choice to PLAYIN YOUR DREAMS, or was it used for a ‘change of heart’ because of your ‘bad breakup’. To me, there is no such thing as a ‘bad breakup’. Relationships fail all the time.c9ec2208cdeb9485102a1fffbd91dea5

The depths of the emotional pain and our decisions that one experiences, after a ‘bad breakup’ is done by choice. I speak from experience after Nick’s physical force left the planet. During my recovery phase is how my definition of a relationship came to be. “Relationships are ‘Well Spent Time’ with others with no guarantees”.

The only guarantee one has is the current moment that one exist. It is within our power to use the forces within that moment to PLAYIN OUR DREAMS. Obstacles will try to prevent us that luxury, but without obstacles, we would die of boredom.

I encourage you to use your time for deep reflection as you continue your life’s journey. Answers come from within, not from others. Your answers will guide you to seek the results you want. There are no winners or losers in the ‘Game of Life’, only results.”result-word-cloud-business-concept-60497084

Your last email and my response had me thinking as I was completing last minute business for tomorrow’s Celebration. Many obstacles have had to be overcome, and yet I do not know Sam I am how the results are going to come out.

Regardless of this year’s results, they will better prepare me for next year. As I was telling my neighbor, Patty, this year has been less ‘stressful’ than the previous years with the Baseball Celebration.

Stress is a self-imposed penalty on oneself. Forces this year have been kinder to me than in the past. This ‘New Direction’ like your ‘The Road Not Taken’ has been a ‘Blessing’ to me. Sharing, protecting, and promoting the ‘Dreams’ of others is what I do best.

God and other forces have now guided me to share my wisdom with a different culture of the ‘Ye Olde’ Henderson, NV. For this and more, I am very grateful and look forward to being a ‘Difference Maker’ in another arena for years to come.b95cee3164ad8a7ef11552ecb2218eb5

My experience tells me, if one runs away from their obstacles to seek better results, these unresolved obstacles will continue their pursuit of the individual. In other cases, a different set of obstacles will enter the contest of life.

Only you know why you went to Nashville. If it was to PLAYIN YOUR DREAMS permanently in your favorite place in the world, I salute you. If was for other reasons, those too and their obstacles will have to be dealt with.

I thought about your ‘bad breakup’ during my errands. Four possible scenarios exist that resulted in this ‘bad breakup’. Please let me examine each one and how bad it could be. When I was your age, my perception of a relationship is polar opposite of my perception today.aldoushuxley386509

1.A mutual agreement was made between you and your partner. How bad is that? It was ‘Mutual’.

2. You decided to end the relationship. How bad could that be? If it was your choice, you took the time and studied the issues and possible results.

3. Your partner surprised you with a gift. His gift was to give you the opportunity to seek the results you wanted. Forces led the decision making process. How bad could that be? You were given a ‘Blessing’ to seek the results that were not being provided by the relationship.

4. Your partner suddenly passed as Nick did. Now that, I would consider a ‘bad breakup’. Welcome to my world then.

I salute your pioneering adventure. Whatever the results, I wish the very best for you. Where my ‘The Road Not Taken’ leads me, I do not know Sam I am. But, with my O & A, enjoyment will be the results I seek.

More obstacles will join in to disrupt my path. However, my choice will be to how to use the forces of these obstacles to get the results that I seek. ‘Life is an Art’. For me it is just a ‘Game’ to be played. There are no winners or losers, only results.

The ‘World of Sports’ is where my passion lays. Most of the time, there is a winner and a loser. That is why I enjoy old Westerns and movies. The guys in the white hats usually win and overcome ‘bad breakups’.”tumblr_macjluKh9M1qatweko1_400

After zipping off the email to Dgirl, I took the lesson that we shared. The HLL gave me a ‘gift’. This ‘gift’ was to be shared with the B&G Club of ‘Ye Olde’ Henderson, NV.

TODAY IS FRIDAY 6/17/16—A MID-SUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM CELEBRATION

For the morning session, a few tasks needed to be completed:

1) Load up banners, and other needed supplies from the house

2) Go to Smith’s Food & Drugs for additional supplies

3) Unload supplies at BMAC

4) Hang banners at BMAC

Numbers one, three, and four I have more control over. This year I had a crew. The crew consisted of my son Michael, my teenage neighbor Mark Costolo and his friend Aedon Zier.

After loading up the supplies from my house, off to Smith’s we went. My contact people at Smith’s did not respond to my request for their sponsorship. The unknown awaited me inside their doors. The worst result was that ‘TAKE 5’ would pay for the supplies requested. Spending money locally for services and goods is always a top priority of mine.

My contact person was not available, however Krista, the acting officer in charge was. Krista won me over with her firm military handshake. She followed my 3 principles of a ‘handshake’, Lock-Load & Look.handshake etiquette

Lock your thumbs together. Load your grip with a firm squeeze. Look them in the eyes. Krista confessed that she was ex-military. I thanked her for her service. After a few calls by Krista, our entire request was full-filled.

The following is a copy of the letter that I emailed to Smith’s Corporate Office. Another one was emailed to Nate Rose of the local Smith’s Store to share with his store’s employees.

6/25/16

My name is George N. Feher. I am the Executive Officer of The Nick Feher ‘TAKE 5’ Foundation in Henderson, NV.

This briefing is to acknowledge the superior performances of the following Smith’s employees; Heather McMullen, Krista Martinez, and Nate Rose. Their involvement through the Smith’s Community Donation Program made it possible for the members, the families, and invited guests of the local Henderson, NV Boys & Girls Club to enjoy our inaugural ‘Mid-Summer Night’s Dream Celebration’.IMG_2272

This Celebration with the support of other sponsors was held on Friday 6/17/16 at the picturesque Black Mt. Aquatics Complex here in ‘Ye Olde’ Henderson, NV. Local Chefs prepared a barbecue; with drinks, snacks, and chips on the menu. Our resident DJ filled the atmosphere with soothing and dance music. My Massage Therapist relaxed our guests with chair massages.

Please see receipt# 381-7-37-904, dated 6/17/16. More on this later.

During the past few years, Smith’s Food and Drugs at 830 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, NV has been assisting our Foundation on two fronts. One was with the “YE OLDE” Henderson, NV Baseball Celebration, and the other with The 4th of July picnic at the local Boys & Girls Club.

Following the forces, the Nick Feher ‘TAKE 5’ Foundation seized the opportunity to rebrand its mission statement this summer. It now reads:

“To make a commitment to help, protect, promote, and share the ‘Dreams’ of the youth in ‘Ye Olde’ Henderson, NV. We want to be part of the driving force that assists others to be able to PLAYIN YOUR DREAMS. We want to challenge others to be a ‘Difference Maker’, not only for themselves but also for others. Lastly, we want to remind others, “When in Doubt, remember to ‘TAKE 5’.”1

After assisting in bringing a High School State Baseball Title, back to ‘Ye Olde’ Henderson, NV in the spring of 2016 after a drought since 1987, and a personal successful seven-year campaign, ‘TAKE 5’ decided that new dreams were in order.

For dreams to become a reality, assistance by outside forces are sometimes needed. With our new dreams written down, ‘TAKE 5’ shared them with the local Smith’s Food and Drugs. Our position explained that ‘TAKE 5’ was out of the Baseball Business and was fully committed to the Boys & Girls Club Business.

Our proposal to Smith’s included Smith’s donating drinks, chips, snacks, and ice for 300 guests. Smith’s was informed that all remaining items from the Celebration would be given to the local Boys & Girls for their personal use.

Smith’s was also informed that any level of donation would be graciously accepted. ‘TAKE 5’ also offered to make up the difference with a purchase. On the day of the event, to pick-up our order, Smith’s Food and Drugs exceeded our expectations with their ‘Blessings’.tumblr_m5ze0wmrEw1r5mzhho1_500

The following Smith’s employees; Heather McMullen, Krista Martinez, and Nate Rose and others deserve a ‘Standing Ovation’ for their generosity. Our ‘Dream Request’ was manifested into a reality.

It is an honor to be associated with such outstanding figures in our community. They asked for nothing in return, but their generosity helped for just one night, an opportunity for the youth in our community to PLAYIN YOUR DREAMS.

My sincere thanks go to the entire Smith’s Family/Corporation for helping to assist others including myself to share their dreams with others. I hope that our relationship continues for the conceivable future.

You can read about this and more in a future post in a few weeks on our Facebook Page, The Nick Feher ‘TAKE 5’ Foundation. Plus, it will also be posted on my website simultaneously @ playinyourdreams.com

BEAUTY SURROUNDS US EVERYWHERE. OBSERVING AND ANALYZING IT TAKES PRACTICE.jenni-young-look-find-beauty-3s8j

With the supplies unloaded and the banners hung, the a.m. session was completed. With about four hours before the Celebration, tidbits remained. A speech had to be prepared. Whenever I write, I always call upon God and the ‘little guys’ in my brain to do their magic. This afternoon would be no exception.

With my crew intact, more supplies were loaded for transport for the Celebration. A trip to Smith’s for ice was on the way to the BMAC. The ice was ready as promised by Krista. (You have to love the military. Their word is their value.)

Arriving within our needed time frame around 5:20 pm, setting up for the Celebration was the #1 priority. The Chefs were parked outside the gates waiting to set up. Entrance to the area was being denied. When asked why, the Chefs replied something about the contract. I told them to wait.

Brandon was my contact person at the BMAC. We met earlier in the day. Plans were laid out with no reference to a contract. Upon entering the office to seek a solution, guards and another supervisor were present. A discussion with Brandon started.1019974

Negotiations hit an impasse. Brandon had the support of the female supervisor. Cassidy was her name. I can best describe Cassidy as a young Alpha Female Cat. Negotiations can sometimes be achieved by a change of venue.

I was able to lure them out of their office away from their guards to continue our negotiations. Within time, an amicable solution was agreed upon. Next year the Celebration would start at 7pm and end at 10pm. This year Brandon would stand guard at the gate to prevent any violation, and to provide safe passage for the Chefs, my crew and myself.

‘TAKE 5’ SALUTES CASSIDY, BRANDON AND THE ENTIRE STAFF OF THE BMAC FOR THEIR ASSISTANCE IN CREATING A HISTORIC EVENT, ‘A MID-SUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM CELEBRATION’.IMG_2278

With minor glitches to be discovered along the way, this ‘Historic Event’ was becoming a reality. The air was different. A call then came through. It was Orlena from the B&G Club. She said the bus was on the way. Luis was the bus driver from Henderson’s Parks and Recreation. Others would supply their own transportation.

I laughed when I heard ‘The bus is on the way’. This event started to take a ‘feel’ of its own. Never before, had a bus been rented by ‘TAKE 5’, to transport its guests to the Celebration. Special guests require VIP treatment.

As the bus pulled up, it reminded me of a ‘Game Bus’ on game day. Watching the guests leave the bus, additional loud chatter filled the air as they mounted their journey.IMG_2192 This journey was seven years in the making and they came to lay their claim.IMG_2194

It was obvious to me as the guests lined-up for entrance, this was going to be a world event. Cultures and nationalities from around our globe would join in for one night in a Celebration of Dreams.IMG_2196

With ‘TAKE 5’ bracelets being handed out to each guest, photos were taken in front of the Nick Feher ‘TAKE 5’ Foundation Banner. Music filled the air along with water from the pool. The smells of the Chefs’ cooking wafted to the entrance gate.

As more guests arrived, more entered the pool. With babies in strollers, and toddlers in hand, the adults also came to share in the Dreams of others.

Unlike previous Celebrations where I always knew someone, every baby, toddler, child, teen and adult was strangers to me. Though strangers, they made me feel welcomed.

A sense of home started to embrace me.

All Celebrations must have meaningful words to be shared. I shared the following:

WHAT IS A DREAM? A DREAM IS JUST A WISH IF IT IS NOT WRITTEN DOWN. A DREAM IS JUST A WISH IF IT NOT SHARED WITH OTHERS. DO ALL DREAMS COME TRUE? NO. THAT INDICATES THAT IT MAY BE TIME TO START A NEW DREAM.

THE ‘TAKE 5’ SLOGAN STARTED AS A DREAM. IT WAS MY DREAM TO HELP OUR SON, BROTHER, AND FRIEND NICK FEHER DURING A CAREER CHANGE WHEN NICK WAS 18 YEARS OLD.

THE SLOGAN WAS TO ASSIST NICK WHEN THAT MOMENT CAME TO PROTECT HIS DREAMS. IT WAS BASED ON TWO QUESTIONS

1.WHAT’S IN IT FOR ME?

2. WHAT CONSEQUENCES CAN THEIR BE?

NICK AND I SHARED A MOMENT AND REHEARSED THOSE TWO QUESTIONS. WE ENDED THE SESSION WITH A HUG AND EXPRESSED OUR LOVE FOR ONE ANOTHER.IMG_2284

A FEW WEEKS LATER ON HIS WAY TO WORK EARLY IN THE MORNING, NICK’S COMPETITIVE SPIRIT TOOK OVER. WHILE RACING ANOTHER CAR ON WARM SPRINGS ROAD, HE FORGOT TO PROTECT HIS DREAMS. HE DIED IN A SINGLE CAR CRASH AT THE AGE OF 18.

IT IS WITH HIS SPIRIT THAT I STAND BEFORE YOU TODAY TO SHARE HIS STORY AND TO REMIND YOU TO ALWAYS PROTECT YOUR DREAMS.

THIS CELEBRATION HAS BEEN TO DESIGNED TO HELP PROMOTE, AND SHARE THE DREAMS OF THOSE IN ATTENDANCE. HOWEVER, YOU WILL HAVE TO LEARN TO PROTECT YOUR OWN DREAMS.

HOW CAN YOU PROTECT YOUR DREAMS? BELIEVE AND PRACTICE THE FOLLOWING:

  1. YOU ARE THE MOST IMPORTANT PERSON IN THE WORLD

2. YOU ARE YOUR OWN BEST FRIEND.

3. WEAR YOUR ‘TAKE 5’ BRACELET, AND WHEN YOUR MOMENT COMES, REMEMBER TO

‘TAKE 5’. ASK YOURSELF TWO QUESTIONS:

1.WHAT’S IN IT FOR ME?

2. WHAT CONSEQUENCES CAN THEIR BE?

YOU ASK WHAT MOMENT? THE MOMENT WHEN YOUR ‘COMPETITIVE SPIRIT’ ARISES BUT YOU ARE NOT INVOLVED IN A SPORT. AN UNEASY FEELING THAT HAPPENS IN YOUR GUT, TELLING YOU TO ‘TAKE 5’. ANYTIME YOUR SO CALLED FRIENDS TRY TO PRESSURE YOU INTO DOING SOMETHING YOU KNOW YOU SHOULD NOT DO, ‘TAKE 5’.

‘TAKE 5’ CAN BE USED AS YOUR LIFE LONG TOOL TO PROTECT YOUR DREAMS. IF YOU DO NOT PROTECT YOUR DREAMS YOURSELF, OTHERS WILL TRY TO TAKE THEM AND THEN HAVE YOU PLAY IN THEIR DREAMS.

MAKE YOUR DREAMS COUNT. HUMANS DO NOT FAIL. HUMANS ONLY GET RESULTS. THE ONLY WINNERS AND LOSERS IN LIFE ARE THOSE THAT PARTICIPATE IN A SPORT OR ACTIVITY WHEN A SCORE IS KEPT.IMG_2285

WITH THAT SAID IT IS NOW TIME TO PROMOTE AND SHARE OUR DREAMS WITH ONE ANOTHER.

WHEN I WAS 12 YEARS OLD, I WAS CHOSEN NEWSPAPER BOY OF THE MONTH IN A SMALL STEEL TOWN OF ALIQUIPPA, PA WHILE GROWING UP IN WEST ALIQUIPPA.

MY PHOTO WAS PLACED IN THE NEWSPAPER WITH MY ANSWER TO A QUESTION. THE QUESTION WAS, WHAT DO YOU WANT TO DO WHEN YOU GROW UP?

I REPLIED, I WANTED TO ATTEND COLLEGE ON A FOOTBALL SCHOLARSHIP AND BECOME A TEACHER.

MY DREAMS WERE SET IN MOTION. OTHER DREAM CATCHERS IN THE BEAVER VALLEY AND BEYOND CAUGHT MY DREAMS.

AFTER 5 YEARS OF EXTREMELY HARD WORK IN THE CLASSROOM, ON THE FOOTBALL FIELD, AND IN THE COMMUNITY, DURING MY HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR YEAR, I WAS CHOSEN AS ONE OF THE TOP 33 FOOTBALL PLAYERS IN THE STATE OF PA.

PITT UNIVERSITY OFFERED ME A 4 AND HALF-YEAR GRANT IN AID SCHOLARSHIP TO PLAY FOOTBALL AT PITT. I PLAYED IN MY DREAMS AND TRAVELED ALL OVER THE COUNTRY ENTERTAINING THOUSANDS OF COLLEGE FOOTBALL FANS AS MODERN DAY GLADIATORS.

MY DREAM OF BECOMING AT TEACHER BECAME TRUE WHEN THE CCSD HIRED ME AS A FULL-TIME EDUCATOR. EACH DAY WHEN I WENT TO WORK IT WAS NOT WORK. FOR I WAS PLAYIN IN MY DREAMS AND OTHERS WERE PAYING ME TO DO IT.

EVEN THIS DAY, I CONTINUE TO PLAYIN MY DREAMS, DREAMING UP NEW DREAMS. PLAYIN IN YOUR DREAMS ARE EASY, IF YOU ARE WILLING TO DO THE HARD WORK THAT MAY BE REQUIRED. ONLY YOU WILL DECIDE IF YOU HAVE THE DESIRE TO PLAYIN YOUR DREAMS.desire-quotes-8

WITH THAT SAID, THE TIME HAS COME TO SHARE AND PROMOTE YOUR DREAMS WITH OTHERS. PLEASE TAKE A MOMENT AND THINK ABOUT ONE DREAM THAT YOU WANT TO PLAYIN. IT NEEDS TO BE 6 OR MORE MONTHS FROM NOW.

WHEN I SAY GO, I WANT YOU TO SAY OUT LOUD ALL AT THE SAME TIME FOR ALL THOSE AROUND YOU TO HEAR YOUR DREAM.

YOU HAVE 10 SECONDS TO THINK ABOUT YOUR DREAM.

GET READY, GET SET, GO AND SHARE YOUR DREAM.

MY DREAM WAS, I WANT TO DO THIS AGAIN NEXT YEAR. I WANT TO BE ABLE TO STAND IN FRONT OF YOU TO REMIND YOU THAT THIS COMMUNITY, YOUR FAMILY, RELATIVES, FRIENDS, TEACHERS, AND OTHERS YOU MAY ENCOUNTER WANT TO PROMOTE AND SHARE YOUR DREAMS.

ONLY YOU CAN PROTECT YOUR DREAMS.eba078adb5d0d046d6920a155ae3b80c PROTECT THEM ALWAYS BY REMEMBERING TO ‘TAKE 5’ WHEN YOUR MOMENT COMES, AND WHEN YOU ARE IN DOUBT ASK YOURSELF 2 QUESTIONS:

  1. WHAT’S IN IT FOR ME?
  2. WHAT CONSEQUENCES CAN THEIR BE?

I CHALLENGE YOU TO BE A DIFFERENCE MAKER TO YOURSELF AND FOR OTHERS. WHEN YOU SEE OTHERS THAT ARE IN DOUBT, REMIND THEM TO ‘TAKE 5’.

IN CLOSING YOU HAVE BEEN A GREAT AUDIENCE. THE CELEBRATION CONTINUES TO 9:30 PM. PLENTY OF FOOD AND DRINKS REMAIN.

THE NICK FEHER ‘TAKE 5’ FOUNDATION INVITES YOU TO VISIT OUR FACEBOOK PAGE. IF YOU VISIT FOLLOW THE LINK TO MY WEBSITE CALLED PLAYINYOURDREAMS.COM I SHARE MY THOUGHTS IN HOW TO PLAYIN YOUR DREAMS.

LASTLY, WHEN YOU GO HOME, WRITE YOUR DREAM DOWN. PLACE IT ON YOUR MIRROR. REFLECT ON YOUR DREAM DAILY. PREPARE YOURSELF AND DO THE HARD WORK NEEDED TO PLAYIN YOUR DREAMS.

IF YOU SEE ME ABOUT IN TOWN, STOP AND SAY HELLO. IF YOU FORGET MY NAME JUST CALL ME THE ‘TAKE 5’ GUY, AND WE CAN SHARE OUR DREAMS.

THANK YOU AGAIN AND LET THE CELEBRATION CONTINUE ON THE COMMANDS OF THE GUARDS.

THE ONE THING I WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER FROM THIS ‘HISTORICAL MID-SUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM’ WAS THE ROAR. IT WAS NOT AS LOUD AS THE ROAR THAT EMBRACED ME IN TUSCALOOSA OR KNOXVILLE, BUT IT FELT THE SAME.

It was when I shared my Dream with everyone about wanting to do this again next year, a roar of the kids, and adults agreed with approval. Home was taking on a new address.c1dbb54230cb315ae3fa73cdea8757e3

This new address was solidified by the actions of others throughout the night. While observing the activities from the podium, a woman began her approach flight to me. She was a stranger, but I have seen her kind before.

With her bright eyes wide opened, and a ‘smile’ that was equal, as she neared me I started to extend my hand. Using a swim technique, she greets me with an embrace from an ‘olde faithful friend’. Comforting words flowed from her lips, as she pressed me nearer. Words of gratitude followed next.

In retrospect, she was an ‘Angel’ in charge of the ‘Welcoming Committee’. Welcome me she did. Her name was Connie. And, to the Angel Connie,IMG_2277 I tip my cap, for welcoming me home.

As I made my rounds while pausing near the food and drinks, I felt a hug around my waist. A little girl no taller than my waist had me in her embrace. While looking at her, she ‘smiled’ and said “Thank you”. I replied you are welcomed and we parted ways.

I was ‘blessed’ four more times by this ‘Little Angel’. She must have been in charge of the little kids ‘Welcoming Committee’. (More Pics)

After the fifth embrace and while looking at her more closely, I told her; That she must be an ‘Angel’ with those beautiful blue eyes and a ‘smile’ to match.

When we do this again next year, I hope to see you again. You will be taller and more beautiful and I hope you will remember me and hug me again.

Kevin, my Massage Therapist had a long line all night long. Children and adults of all ages wanted to experience his ‘healing hands’. I told him that he ‘Blest’ many that night. For most of the children, it was their ‘First Massage’. One that they will always remember.IMG_2271 He ‘smiled’ and confessed, he too was blest in return.

Luis the bus driver stopped by. I invited Luis in earlier to enjoy the Celebration.  He was very supportive and thankful for my message. He shared with me the following:

There was a moment in his life that the results he sought were out of his reach. A message came to him and told him to write his Dreams down and post them up for all to see. At first, he was skeptical, for he had to step out his comfort zone.writing-down-goals

Within time, this new zone became his new comfort zone. He agreed that Dreams and Goals would take some work. Some Dreams require more work than others depending on its size. Thorough perseverance and hard work, Luis said he was able to take control of his life and turn it around after writing his goals down.

When a goal was reached, another goal took its place. Among plenty of things, he is involved with the Club Sport of Water Polo in Henderson, NV. ‘TAKE 5’ applauds your effort Luis and thanks you for sharing. (More Pics)

As dusk was turning into nightfall, more ‘smiles’ and thank yous were exchanged from strangers no more. Maslow says we all start off as strangers with one another. However, one moment can turn us into friends. Marcus Aurelius teaches that everyone is here for our benefit and we for his or hers.

With no official count of the guests, I could only estimate the numbers. It was more than our first baseball celebration of 125, but less than our record crowd of 250+.

With better planning for next year, growth will be emphasized.

Without warning and no signal, DJ Mike struck the right cord. It started slowly with one. One became two, and two became four. Four doubled to eight and before it was over more than 35 friends were dancin.

Mothers danced with their toddlers. Fathers and mothers danced with their children. Children from all cultures and nationalities danced with each other. It was as though the entire world had come together for just one night to celebrate the Dreams of others.

With the batteries dead in my camera, a photo I did not take. It would be a scene that would be etched permanently in my brain. This ‘blessings’ of this dance caused DJ Mike to exclaim that next year he was going to bring his spotlights to light up the dance floor.IMG_2237

DJ Mike was sharing with me his Dreams for next year’s Celebration. With all that said, that is what I took home with me that night. As the adrenaline was wearing off as I floated in my ‘Fishbowl’ replays of the ‘Mid-Summer Night’s Dream Celebration’ flooded my brain.

It was both a Celebration of Dreams and a Pilgrimage. Most Pilgrimages I leave town for. This one was right in my neighborhood. This Pilgrimage was seven years in the making. And in the quiet, calm waters of my ‘Fishbowl’ tears of joy and laughter flowed from my existence, as I replayed the night.IMG_2281

This was a first for me, another Historical Event. Unlike previous Celebrations, this one raised the Gooseflesh and caused a physical reaction.slide_18 In my books, IT does not get any better than that.

MORE NEWS OF INSPIRATION

On 6/22/16 around 11am, my cell phone rings. Caller ID identifies the call from our son Mike. After answering the call with a hello, Mike in an excited state, told me that his woman friend Kim and him had just gotten engaged.IMG_1998 (2)

Asked where they were, he said Mt. Charleston. Not realizing he was on speakerphone, I sang the praises of him and Kim. I shared that the news raised the Gooseflesh on my skin, and that I shared their joy. When I said to put Kim on the phone, that’s when he said, he was on speaker phone.

Mike had shared his engagement plans with me months ago. I was privy to be among the first to view the engagement ring. For my loyal readers, I offered Mike the use of my T-Mobile Grand Opening Event tickets to propose there.

Two Historical Events would have mess as one with more than 20,000 as witnesses. Mike thanked me for my offer, but stated he had other plans, which he stayed true to. To Mike, Kim and all others on the same path, my Dream for you is; “May God guide you on your journey. May you overcome your obstacles as you pursue your Dreams”.

For those of you who have not taken the FREE David Perrico Pop Strings Orchestra Challenge, more Challenge dates are scheduled at the Palms Casino in the Lounge at 11pm on Sat. July 9, 2016 and Sat. July 23, 2016.3121006

What is the Challenge? To test if you are alive, or if they should start throwing dirt on you. The most common excuse, others tell me, to not take the Challenge is, it is too late. Too late is not a reasonable excuse. After the last free concert, I confessed to David that his shows remind me of Midnight Mass when I was little kid.

You always heard as a little child how special Midnight Mass was. Plus, Santa Claus would visit while you would sleep and bring you gifts. For those of you reading this, I encourage you to step out of your comfort/dead zone and stimulate your senses in other arenas in your life. If it means a few times a month to alter your sleep, go for it. Enjoy life.

Perrico knows that I am ‘Insane’. He also knows that he himself is ‘Insane’. All one has to do to verify his ‘Insanity’ is to take the Challenge. If they do not get your feet tappin, hands slappin, arms wavin, body rockin, shouts flowin, and ‘Goose Flesh’ risin, when they bring ‘It’, immediately have someone call 911 for you. For the results of your Challenge indicates that dirt is being thrown on you.

As I O & A his shows, I always envision David as being a Head Coach and General Manager of his Orchestra/Team.competitive According to his website he scouts and recruits world-class talent for his Orchestra. Various players show up, plus special guests appear.

Recently, I had written about the ‘Passion’ of two of his String Players, Bat Girl, the Cello Player and Rock Star, the Violin Player. These two had set the standards for ‘Passion’. Think in terms of Perrico having to manage a MLB All-Star Team, especially the pitchers.

The game of baseball is controlled by the play, rhythm, and the excellence of the pitcher. As an artist, the pitcher attempts to paint his canvas with each new batter. Sounds of the game are created with each pitch.

When an Artist of Perrico’s Team is called upon for a solo, that artist becomes an MLB All-Star Pitcher.IMG_1142_r900x493 He or she controls the play and rhythm of the song with their excellence.

Bat Girl would currently compare to Madison Bumgarner of the San Francisco Giants and The Rock Star to Jake Arrieta of the Chicago Cubs. During his last show on July 25, 2016, a new violinist joined his team. Well at least, she was new to me.

He introduced her as J the #1 Violinist. As she played her violin, which was, now a fiddle the speed and veracity she exhibited took ‘Passion’ to the next level. As she was ending her solo, I was lead to believe that some magic act would conclude her performance.

For a moment, I thought that her bow and violin was going to spontaneously combust into flames ending her segment.big_thumb_7bca369634115a77c7e2d28e1cd73892 Surprisingly, they did not. However, David Perrico introduced me to Clayton Kershaw of the L.A. Dodgers.

Written on the Smith’s Center website is the following: “In a special performance, at the Smith’s Center on Friday July 8, @ 8pm, David Perrico, Composer, and Conductor brings his newest musical creation “David Perrico – Pop Strings Orchestra & Pop Evolution” to Cabaret Jazz.

A celebrated trumpeter, Perrico leads the 30 plus-piece ensemble of strings, horns and rhythm section, featuring Naomi Mauro and Eric Sean’s powerful vocals. Comprised of musicians who perform with Rod Stewart, Celine Dion, and Donny & Marie, the band features the finest musicians in Las Vegas, and transforms popular songs from all genres to produce a one-of-a-kind sound experience.”

With a ticket in my hand, Midnight Mass will be earlier on Friday 7/8/16 with more gifts and surprises. See you there or at the Palms.

DGIRL AND NASHVILLE WILL END THIS POST. IT IS SATURDAY 6/18/16

Forces affected the scheduling of my last massage. I am a firm believer that one should treat oneself at least once every four weeks to a ‘pampering session’. It could be a full body massage, reflexology, acupuncture, manicure, pedicure, etc.Love-yourself-first-and-everything-else-falls-in-line.-You-really-have-to-love-yourself-to-get-anything-done-in-this-world.-Lucille-Ball-2

The message you send to yourself when you pamper yourself is that you love yourself. A full body massage for over 20 years has been my message. Bob Hope, who lived to be 100, enjoyed the benefits of daily massages. I wrote the following to Dgirl after my massage the day after the Celebration.

“After rinsing my brain, I have just read your email sent to me. Your pics of ‘Starlet’ and ‘the Hostess at the Beach, enlighten me. After a massage, my channels to receive the ‘energy’ of the universe, open up like an uncongested freeway. Waves of ‘energy’ bombard my entire existence.

Hummingbirds are a very unique spirit. Nick’s Great Grandmother shared the stories of them transporting the spirits of loved ones after Nick passed. My experiences with them are countless. I no longer keep score.

This morning after turning on my fountain, gazing from my patio door, Nick is the first to ‘Bless’ me with a short visit. While adding water this afternoon, Nick was the first to say hello. I always take signs from Nick.life-is-one-big-road-with-lots-of-signs-so-when-you-riding-through-the-ruts-dont-complicate-your-mind My ‘Insanity’ convinces me that he approves of my actions, and encourages me to continue on my ‘Road Not Taken’.

He not only said hello, but he also flew up on my patio and perched himself on the clothesline for a moment. As he looked at me, I said to him, “Why don’t you come and perch yourself on my finger”? As I walked towards him, with my finger extended he flew away.

I agree that you have stepped out of your ‘comfort zone’. I view it as stepping outside the forest so you can see the trees. That is my perspective each time I travel outside my ‘comfort zone, to other localities. Being away sheds a different light on one’s ‘comfort zone’ that one calls “HOME”.

If I do accept your request for a loan, my Integrity, Honor, Character and Reputation will be put to the test. Your email only indicates the cost of the test. It does not describe in detail the quest itself, the final results you seek, and the path or paths you will have to take. Currently, you want me to loan you money for an unwritten quest in uncharted territories.

Desire is #1 on my ‘6 Steps of Success’.the-will-to-win-the-desire-to-succeed-the-urge-to-reach-your-full-potential What overall price, including physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, sexual, and monetary, plus other costs are you willing to pay for your quest and its results? (A loan proposal was then laid out.)

Thank you for your compliment on my perspective on ‘bad breakups’. Continue to O & A for all the benefits that your life has to offer, including a visit from your Grandmother. She may not appear as a Hummingbird. She may use another disguise, but her message will be true.

Perhaps she will guide you on your quest. Is Nashville just a stopover to see the trees from the forest or is it a place you want to hang your cap. Nashville offers different benefits than Henderson, NV. Does it have better music? No, just better country music. Better food? That is a question to be answered by critics. Better people? Better people can be found anywhere one is willing to look.

A video of ‘Inspiration’ was attached. It must have worked. For on Sunday 6/19/16 waiting in my email was the cell phone# of Dgirl. Gifts come to those who are willing to wait.patience-quote-collection-of-inspiring-quotes-sayings-images-F4YA0X-quote

To put our relationship into perspective, Dgirl and I first met in November of 2013 at her place of employment. It was the same time Pitt hosted Notre Dame in a football game at Heinz Field. My Best Man and friend called me from the game after my initial meeting with Dgirl.

Though years apart, those two share a similarity with me. Each hit me with an ‘Epiphany’. Emails from that moment became our primary means of communication. Until verification 18 months later, her reading my emails was shrouded in doubt.

Our physical paths have crossed only once more on 3/31/16 with two quick walk-byes. She now resides in Nashville, a place I visited during my 2015 College Football Pilgrimage. Hanging outside my patio door, are wind chimes purchased in Nashville to commemorate my Pilgrimage.

With her cell# in hand, a new line of communication is now available.Communication-in-a-relationship-is-the-main-thing However, an email has to be sent for verification. The email was as follows.

“You are full of surprises. You must have really enjoyed my ‘Inspirational Video’. In return, you sent me a ‘Blessing’, disguised as your phone number. Verification will be required at the end of this email.

It was at 3 am last night when I noticed your email alert on my phone. I just opened it at 10:45 am. Between 3 am and now, many thoughts entertained my brain about the contents of your unread message.

With the energy of the universe, flowing freely through my body, ideas of your current dilemma danced in my brain. Thoughts included you were finished with your complete, thorough application process. Once in my hand, our deal could progress. The application will have to be filled out for our deal to consummate.08c1772c4a75629baad8870a376282dd

With ideas flooding my Imagination, I offer you the following proposal. This proposal will test your ‘DESIRE’, The Willingness to Pay the Price. What are you willing to pay to PLAYIN YOUR DREAMS?

Your Dreams may be to hang your cap in your favorite place in the world, or it is just a stop over as you evaluate the trees from the forest. As in all proposals, feel free to counter.”

NEGOTIATIONS NOW TOOK CENTER STAGE USING TEXT MESSAGES

Negotiations are an Art that should be enjoyed by both Gods and men. Relationships play a vital role in this Art. Understanding your partner enhances this Art. Negotiations went on for hours.

She revealed that her plans to move to Nashville because of a ‘Bad Break-Up’ had a few holes. She was reaching out to me because she did not want others to know of her ‘struggles’.struggle-quotes-with-images-Life-is-a-gift-I-accept-it. In my brain, ‘struggles’ are only obstacles. With the right solutions, they too can be solved or at least diminished.

During the middle of these negotiations, as I am gazing out my back patio door, perched on a wind chime was Nick in his disguised as a Hummingbird. He chose to sit on the Lexington, Kentucky wind chime right next to Nashville.

With my cell phone camera in hand, Nick sat there long enough for me to take numerous pics of him. Even though he had made countless appearances before, these are my first pics of him in his new disguise.

With it being Father’s Day, I accepted it as a ‘blessing’ and ‘gift’ from Nick and Dgirl. The cycles of life sometimes provide us with bizarre and unexpected moments. Mine was captured on pixels to be replayed as is needed.index (2)

On SUNDAY NIGHT, I texted the following to ‘God is my Judge’.

“Before this Father’s Day comes to an end, I want to thank you for a Historical Day and Moments. Blessings were plentiful. Our healthy exchange of dialogue was very stimulating and engaging.

During our stimulating bantering, you used your power to grant me a moment to spend with Nick disguised as a Hummingbird. He was 6’ from my door. Pics tell that story. Attached is my first pic of his visit. You can see him perched on a chime.”

SUNDAY BEGETS MONDAY

Time was now an issue for Dgirl’s dilemma. More text messages awaited me Monday morning, with directions to read her email. More info was forth coming to decide the fate of her loan.

After reviewing her loan application and analyzing all that has been observed to date which is plenty, I answered Dgirl.

6/20/16

Voodoo Vixen,logo

I just opened your email at 10:50 am after completing my daily morning ‘Self-Contemplation’. It is #6 on my ‘6 Steps for Success’. This is a time of ‘Reflection’, ‘Thanks’, and ‘Asking for Gifts’. Think meditation.

Over the years of my adult life, I had practiced the principles of Self-Contemplation. It was not until reading the book, “Wisdom of the Ages” by Robert Collier, a few years ago that I subscribed to his wisdom.

He teaches that God will supply us with the ‘Gifts’ we need if we ask ‘IT’ for them. However, God has the right to withhold our askings. God will determine when and if we are deserving of the gifts we ask from him.

We should thank God daily for our past, present, and future gifts.

Your application needs to be addressed.

#4. You only show one job. Why not two? Others, including myself, have worked two jobs during times of struggle.49f9bbd15d69e293df8cb6e91f2d187e Use your degree, go work at a Child Care Center or other facilities that will pay you for your experience. Think church. Part-time is better than no time.

#5. You show no current income, only a future estimate of earnings.

#6. Your estimated income barely meets your monthly expenditures. This is no room for emergencies, such as loss of employment due to various reasons, medical or accidental, etc.

#8. You say quarterly, but do not indicate how much.

#9. You say quick fix, a crutch for a short period of time until you settle and continue to work. You mentioned a move, but do not thoroughly explain how this move came to be. You do not indicate your previous plans and why it did not produce the results you wanted. Too many missing pieces and not enough answers to my questions from you.

#10 Your collateral means more to you than anyone else. I suggest to not ever letting it leave your possession, for it may not return and one of your future dreams would not materialize. Even if you never write a book, your Grandmother’s Typewriter Inspiration could be used daily when you look at it.Yes-I-did-it

Speaking of your Grandmother, if she was here today, what wisdom do you think she would offer you concerning your dilemma? I went on a break.

While looking out my patio door window, guess who shows up. If you said Nick, you are correct. After taking a few drinks from the fountain, he then perched himself on my clothesline for a few minutes. Another moment was shared with him. More wisdom was dispensed.

If you look again at the first pic I sent you, which are the first pics I have ever taken of Nick in his new disguise, I purchased the chime that Nick is perched on last year in Lexington, Kentucky during my College Football Pilgrimage. The black and silver chime next to it was purchased in Nashville on the street with all the bars.

I think it is called State Street. There is an all-purpose, variety store that is located on a corner further away from the bulk of the action. Outside on the sidewalk of the store I remember a street player performing a song. I do not remember the song, but he performed it with passion.15-powerful-quotes-follow-your-passion-11-728

While making my purchase, the female clerk shared with me a few tales. The first one was I was the first person to purchase that particular chime. It was brand new and had just been hung for display. In my brain, I recorded it as a Historical Moment.

We spoke briefly about the street player and his ability. She said he was really good, but he only played the same tune all day long. It got so, that she learned to tune him out. I took that message with me.

I have learned when someone sings the same tune to me over and over again, I will try to help them as in #1 on my ‘Gift List’. However, when one sings me the same tune repeatedly without trying to help themselves with all the possible options/tools that they have, I tune them out.24296-watch-your-thoughts-lao-tzu-quotes

This is where ‘My Road Not Taken’ is with you. To assist you, I have presented you a few options. You have many other options/tools to assist you in PLAYIN YOUR DREAMS. For your personal growth and because I love you as a friend Dgirl, please remove my name off your option list.

Put your vanity aside and contact your inner circle, whether they supported your dream or not of your move to Nashville. My wisdom to you is all I can offer to you at this time.

Your ‘DESIRE’ to pursue your dreams will be predicated by ‘Are you willing to pay the price’? Only you can decide the price you want to pay to PLAYIN YOUR DREAMS. If your current dream is not attainable at this time, I encourage you to start a new dream. Humans do not fail. Humans only get results.d4707ed3e58b5a4e75e964b8633766c0

As a sign of ‘Good Faith’ and as your friend, I offer you the following if you decide to return.

1.Payment by you is not required

2. On a moment’s notice, I will respond as best I can.

3. Not knowing of your possessions, a truck will be rented to haul your possessions and vehicle back. You must share in the drive and the ride.

This is my best and only offer. Consider it an open offer as long as forces permit.

Tony DiMaria is my longest known friend in town. His kindness came in disguise as a part-time time job cleaning his salon. With his help, my dreams of being a CCSD Teacher became true. He is a ‘Giant’ among men. He is my mentor and friend.isaacnewton135885

In his presence, if it warrants, he showers you with his wisdom. Many prominent figures in Las Vegas have reaped the rewards of his wisdom as clients. He once told me, “George, you have to pay your dues”. He was right and now I enjoy the fruits of my labor and my ‘dues’.”

IN CLOSING, I STEPPED OUT OF CHARACTER AND EMAILED MY POST FOR PREVIEW BY DGIRL.

Another option was presented. ‘God is my Judge’ stated that one of her life-long dreams was to write a book using her Grandmother’s typewriter. I offered her the next option.

“You have my permission to reproduce, edit, and print any and all of my writings that I have emailed you. You have my permission with the same conditions, to my Facebook posts and my website @ playinyourdreams.com

As a bonus, you can also share all of my writings to other parties since we first met. With your viewpoint as ‘God is my Judge’, a woman, and your various identities, a possible best seller or best sellers await you.tumblr_my66uvP7Df1qzhc38o1_1280

For this post, after a brief negotiation, it was agreed that Dgirl’s story could provide Inspiration and Benefits. I made her an offer she could not refuse. I told her that my readers do not know if you are a Dream, a Reality, or a Reality of my Dreams. If they can figure that out, then maybe they can help me in the ‘Quest of the Truth of my Insanity.

Back into my ‘Fishbowl’, I will return. More O & A will be on the menu. My 2016 College Football Pilgrimage has been decided. The State of Texas awaits me with 4 College Football Games in 17 days. More on this in a future post.

Marilyn Monroe was a wise woman.d928db40ae3b6113c351f8cd6fa22fd7

Until the next post, encourage your family and friends to read our ‘INSANITY’, and bookmark us. As Fox-Feather says, “Remember to keep PLAYIN YOUR DREAMS”.
